"Matthew was very quick to get back to me and get the job done right. I had a leaking toilet that was not seated correctly so it ruined the floor beneath. I had this issue fixed 3 times before. Matthew came out and replaced the flooring underneath it and now it sits correctly on the floor and no longer leaks. I would definitely have them come back if I had any other plumbing problems"

You may be able to install a garbage disposal on your own, especially if you're handy or have some experience with plumbing. Garbage disposals last an average of seven years but can function well past 10 years. However, as time goes on and more food is ground, the grinding plates will slowly lose their edge and need replacing. A motor likely won’t last 10 or more years, but you should be able to get a minimum of five years at least, even under heavy usage. 

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.
