"Seems the basic cleaning does not work well for my situation. Noticed lots of loose dust ball around opening of vents right after service is done. The promotion price is good. But feel the work to replace missing dryer cap is expensive. Technicians are helpful and knowledgeable."

"Mull Brothers is great and i would recommend them highly.  They do not require a contract and charge by the service provided.  If you don't need a lot of service on your HVAC system it is the way to go.  They are professional and always did quality work

"This company is so responsive and helpful. They come when needed and answer all my question. I am so glad we found them. They have helped with repairs and replacement. They have found ways to do some difficult things in our quirky space. They have made things better and safer for us. Passing our inspection by the building inspector was easy because of their good work. They do all they say they will do and in the time frame set. Every worker I have met or talked to has been terrific."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Replacing both an AC and a furnace takes a full day on average, ranging from eight to 12 hours. The process involves removing the old units, installing the new ones, and ensuring all connections are properly made. If both systems are being replaced simultaneously, it can take longer than installing a furnace alone, so plan accordingly.

Assessing location for airflow, convenience, and minimal noise impact.

DIY is possible for basic cleaning. Professional services handle advanced maintenance like recharging the refrigerant.

While many states do not have specific licensing requirements for HVAC companies, your local city or county might. It's always a good idea to check local requirements online and use a tool like Angi’s contractor license lookup to confirm that the company you’re considering is licensed. Regardless of licensing, you should always ensure the company you hire is fully insured to avoid potential lawsuits if a technician is injured on your property. Additionally, it is recommended to check if the company holds third-party certifications, such as North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification or R-410A certification, which qualifies them to work with HVAC refrigerants.

Most HVAC surge protectors last about three to five years, depending on how often your home experiences blackouts or brownouts. If your unit is susceptible to more frequent electrical surges, consider replacing your surge protector every two years. Consult your HVAC professional to determine when and how often to replace your HVAC surge protectors.
