"These guys cared! through any obstacle that occurred a solution was quickly found to satisfy all!! Clean neat and respectful must be the motto of 5 Star. I highly recommend Jeff and his guy Sean. I had a chimney liner installed in my older home and they took care to leave it better than they found it. Some pointing was done as well at the top of the chimney that needed fix. I now look up with pride once again knowing the guys set me up for the next season change !"

"Over the past winter I noticed a bad water leak inside my fireplace that had saturated the mortar and brick. A inspection revealed that the crown of the chimney was damaged and that water had run down interior of chimney and into fireplace. Pictures were taken of the crown and a visual inspection of smoke chamber with tech showed extensive damage within as well as top rows of fireplace brick that had loosened. I was advised not to use fireplace due to the damage. A new crown as well as a custom cap where installed on the exterior and smoke chamber was relined. Also the first two row of fireplace firebrick were removed and reset. Chimney flues were in great shape and chimney was swept as well. Thanks to Adam who supervised and coordinated the job and to my tech Francis who did all the work required over several days. The job progressed to my satisfaction and the crew were meticulous and clean while doing the work and upon completion with cleanup. Would not hesitate to use them again as they are well informed of the workings of chimney and fireplace."

"I was very pleased with the work that was done by this company. Initially I thought that I only needed a chimney cap installed, but after a careful inspection of my chimney, it was found that a crumbling and deteriorating lining of my chimney interior wall had occurred leaving a potentially dangerous situation in my house. I was actually shown the damage so I could determine for myself the extent of the problem. The company installed a new lining and chimney cap in a short period of time, leaving a clean work area. The workmen were extremely polite and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would definitely recommend them for chimney work."

"This was a great experience for me. I'm always nervous about hiring folks, paying too much, being disappointed with the end result, etc, ...but my mind was set to ease when working with Vinny and his team.
I first signed up for the chimney cap and cleaning $65. Was very pleased w/ the work done and appreciated the pictures taken when working at the top of the chimney so I could be shown. Following, I asked him to quote chimney caps for the other chimney and 5 ash pit clean out doors with installation.
He came back with options (3 caps on that other chimney or one custom size chimney cap) along w/ his recommendation. He did the same on the ash pit clean out doors. I always like when someone takes the time to extend choices and explain why they would do it a certain way if it were their house.
The pricing was fair and I felt like I could trust him to do the job. He communicated with me regularly over e-mail, text and calls while we were sorting products (custom chimney cap and the clean out doors) and scheduled the installation when they were ready and it was convenient for me.
Their work and service they did was excellent. I'm very pleased and highly recommend.
If you want someone that will guide you through it, listen to your input, price fairly and care that you're happy in the end ...look no further.

"They were very hard working, efficient, and thorough and i would highly recommend Nick, and his faithful crew of workers including Sean, and Chris. They were careful to not make a mess and to clean up the work areas, and they made sure they tested everything. They obtained permits for us for the extra back den stove and chimney pipe. I would highly recommend this company for fireplace, stove and chimney work!"

"We had a horrible experience with another company and went to Angi’s list and randomly called Chimney All Nation. Not only did they quickly respond but was at our home in a few hours - they repaired our chimney, replacing bricks and mortor and ordered a part for our flue. Beyond happy and grateful for the work that was done. Would recommend without hesitation!!"

"They seemed professional. They came highly recommended and they had good reviews online. They were pretty reasonably priced and they were good. They were on time and clean. They specialize only in chimneys like building, rebuilding and refacing the chimneys. Our chimney crown was falling apart and they rebuilt it. It was painted with some kind of stucco that started to chip off so we had to remove that and they refaced the whole thing with a veneer stone. The price was a lot more than what I would have liked to pay, but we got what we paid for. We got some lower estimates from some fly-by-night companies which were unprofessional and not licensed. We felt like The Chimney Doctor were the only people that knew what they were talking about. We didn?t want to get the general contractor out because we figured this would need some specialized experience. Their punctuality was very good since they were there on time every time."
Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.
A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.
Yes, it’s worth capping a chimney. Here are several reasons to install a chimney cap:
Keep out rain, snow, wildlife, and other debris
Help prevent chimney fires
Reduce your chimney’s exposure to moisture
Maintain your chimney flue liner
Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature
Typically, a chimney cap will last from three to 25 years. This wide range is due to variables like climate, the material the cap is made from, and how often you use your fireplace. Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the life of your chimney cap.
The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.
