a shoddy unethical not to code job cost me untold agita and an additional $1800. ryan supposedly lined my chimney and capped it. it didnt become apparent that he had only put a cap on it and had not attached the liner in anyway, until i needed to have the part that connected my pellet sove to the liner replaced. at this point the liner literaslly fell down into my living room. a drone picture confirmed this. he had not attached a flange to secure the liner. when this happened i called ryan and he promised to come by. he was a no show and then ghosted me on subsequent texts and phone messages. i had to hire someone else to redo his non "work"

My association with Ryan, the owner of Backdraft, began in 2018 when we moved into our home. While we initially had a positive impression, my recent experiences have been deeply unsatisfactory. Despite relying on Backdraft for a wood stove insert and installation, our attempts to contact Ryan since February for chimney cleaning and annual stove service have been in vain. We've utilized various methods - emails, calls, and texts - to no avail. This lack of response persisted through the summer and into August. Additionally, I reached out to obtain information about the wood stove dealer for warranty-related parts. Regrettably, there was no response to this query either. Consequently, the $4K stove's warranty remains unutilized. While Backdraft might be suitable for those who don't require heating services urgently, I must emphasize that if you seek responsiveness and genuine customer care, this is not the company to rely on. Prioritize a service provider who values your time and concerns. Don't find yourself in the same situation I did; consider alternatives that genuinely prioritize their customers.

it went very well. ryan and his team they were awesome. they did a fabulous job. the chimney looks terrific. they came on time, they did the work on a timely manner. very professional, know what they are doing. i definitely recommend them to anyone who needs chimney repair.
