It is thicker, has insulation, the clapboards are 7” vs. the double clapboards you usually see. The problem with the double is there is a common seam you see that transcends 2 simulated clapboards. We had a couple quotes from others and they didn’t even bring up the idea of a premium siding. Also, we had some unique things about our job. One was a set of windows that were sunk in.
