"I worked with Jesse to help with a clogged bathtub drain after I tried plunging it myself. I explained over the phone that I was dealing with backflow problems and each time I used the bathroom sink the water would end up back in the tub. Unlike another plumber who said they would need to charge me to snake both the tub and the bathroom sink, Jesse explained it would likely just need to be the sink and there is an issue in the shared drainage pipe. Jesse communicated clearly when he'd arrive and on his availabilites, and helped resolve the issue quickly and cleaned up after himself. He also gave me additional advice on how to manage my drainage issues in the future, and another toilet problem I had. Good guy to work with, and got the job done. Would hire again."

"Wilson was extremely professional. He came to my condo to make repairs to two toilets. Wilson did a great job. He explained what needed repair, showed me the parts he replaced and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely hire him again."

"I had plumbing leaks in a couple of places, but the men that did the work went above and beyond by replacing every component involved top to bottom to ensure there would be no leaks for a long time to come. Very satisfied with the quality of work as well as how quickly it was done."

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

In CT, aging water service lines and sewer laterals require replacement due to corrosion and tree root intrusion. Uninsulated pipes in basements and crawl spaces face significant freeze damage risks. Hard municipal water accelerates wear on water heaters. Additionally, expansive outdoor irrigation systems demand annual winterization, and older homes require bathroom updates to replace failing cast iron and galvanized pipes.

Helpful?

Several types of professionals handle plumbing in Greenwich. Licensed master and journeyman plumbers manage system designs, installations, and repairs. Drain and sewer specialists address root intrusions and collapsed lines. For homes in the backcountry, certified well and pump contractors maintain private water systems. You will also find experts dedicated to septic system replacements, backflow prevention testing, and hot water radiant heating maintenance.

Helpful?

Before starting a plumbing project in CT, confirm whether your work requires a permit. Check your water service connections and have your private well tested if applicable. Identify any aging lead service lines that require replacement. Avoid scheduling exterior excavations during the frozen winter months. Finally, verify that your chosen local professionals hold active state certifications to ensure safe and compliant work.

Helpful?

The success of plumbing work in Greenwich depends heavily on proper insulation to prevent freeze damage during cold winters. Rocky soil and high water tables also complicate underground pipe installations. Additionally, the age of your home plays a major role, as older properties feature aging pipes that require careful integration. Always secure the proper permits to ensure your system meets current safety and building codes.

Helpful?

After finishing plumbing work in Greenwich, schedule the mandatory final inspection to close out your permits. Update your home records with all inspection reports and warranties for future real estate transactions. Notify your local water provider about any service line changes. Finally, monitor new pipe connections for leaks during the first major temperature swing, and winterize any newly installed outdoor fixtures.
