"I had a great experience with Apex Home Installations. Joe mounted my TV quickly and did a clean, professional job. I appreciate how smooth and hassle-free the whole process was. Would definitely recommend and use again!"

"Just moved to the region and had no experience with any service persons in the area. I relied on Home Advisor (HA) and a few other sources I found on the internet. After receiving a handful of possible handymen from HA, I called on Luigi due to his numerous positive reviews. I was not disappointed. Actually I was elated. Luigi is one of the most honest, timely persons I have had work for me in all my experience. He is incredibly responsive, timely and a true craftsman - they way craftsman took pride in their work back in the day. It was beyond a pleasure working with him. His work was impeccable and his price was very fair for his time. I wish I had more work lined up for him. I would not think twice to hire him again! You will not go wrong using Luigi. If I thought otherwise, I would not be taking the time to write this review! Thank you Luigi! You were a terrific help to us and both my husband and I enjoyed speaking with you!"

"My family has recently switched to a high nutrient-dense diet of mostly veggies and fruits at the recommendation of our doctor. We quickly learned how time consuming washing and prepping produce is and decided to add a prep area to our kitchen, which is no small feat considering it's a galley kitchen in a 1939 cape. We had Gary help us design and install the prep area, which included a 3 basin sink and various cabinets and countertops. This was a project that required out of the box thinking and Gary was the perfect person for the job. He was able to bring our vision to life. He's incredibly passionate about his work and spends time on the details. He was always professional, personable, considerate, reliable, and easy to communicate with. He was meticulous with his work from start to finish. This has been the best experience we have had with working with a contractor in the 11 years we have lived in Fairfield County. We plan to use his services again for future projects and will be recommending him to our friends and neighbors."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.

Yes, handymen can offer quick responses to urgent issues like leaks or electrical problems.

A handyperson is the professional term used to describe professional fixers who can tackle a wide range of general home repairs. Some pros may prefer to use the term handyworker, handyman, or handywoman, so we recommend politely asking your pro how they would like you to identify them during the project.
