"Eddie was great to work with from start to finish. To be honest, he wasn't the highest quote, nor was he the lowest quote. We picked Eddie because of how thorough his explanations were. During our first consultation: Unlike many of the other companies that we meet with, Eddie took the time to listen to our concerns and explain the entire process. He stayed as long as was necessary to make sure we felt that our questions were all answered. We liked him right away because of his thoroughness as well as how personable he was. It didn't seem like he was in it to "nickel and dime" us, rather, he explained two scenarios that could have happened- a bar price, and then a more costly one if the base of our driveway wasn't up to par. Right before the job: Eddie called us to give us a couple of days notice prior to ripping up the driveway. He was punctual with both the day and time that he said he would come. He was able to take out the driveway on a Tuesday, and then came back to repave on the Monday after, so we ended up being unable to drive on it for a week and a half (need to wait three days after). We thought that timeframe was very reasonable. Even after Eddie got paid and finished the job, he still spent time explaining his work to my husband. He also discussed the care and maintenance. He took pride in his work and seemed to really stand by it. In the end, we were charged the base price. We are very happy with our choice of Eddie and Blue Diamond. "Had a fantastic experience. Jay came out quickly to give us a quote and patiently answered all of our questions. He always answered all of my calls through this process and got answers for me right away. We decided to hire them and they came to start the job within the week. They totally replaced our driveway and added a new section. It looks fantastic. The job was done in two days. The workers were fast and cleaned up well after themselves. We knew our invisible dog fence would be cut in the process and had that company on call to come fix it once the driveway was done. We didn’t end up needing to have them come out, though because the paving company was able to splice it back together and feed it through underneath the driveway through a conduit. Saved us some time and money there! They’re also going to come back to put down topsoil and grass seed around the new driveway to build up protection against water getting under there. Would definitely recommend."

"There's no need to even consider any other company to do your driveway. I bought my house 3 years ago and the driveway was already terrible. It was a bumpy, cracked remnant of a very, very old driveway that could have probably doubled as a testing site for the Mars Rover, but I still prioritized other more "fun" projects inside the house. After shoveling chunks of asphalt along with snow for 3 seasons and needing to avoid a large crater that turns into an ice rink it could no longer be put off. I contacted about 5 companies and James answered the phone on the first call and came out for an estimate the next day. NONE of the other companies returned my call, but one did show up unannounced and left an estimate in the mailbox a week later. We were already sold on using Juggs even before getting the other estimate. It was obvious James takes great pride in his company, his work, and the trade as a whole. When we did get the estimate from the other company it was similar in price, but didn't include as much detail, as much base material and prep work, or removal of the old driveway (that was extra; weird). So, Juggs was overall a better deal. A couple weeks later it was our turn to get the driveway done. They showed up on time to tear the old driveway out and do the prep work for the asphalt that would arrive the next day. They worked fast and efficiently. James was there to make sure it was all being done as it should. Same thing the next when they put the asphalt down. We are so, so happy with the new driveway. It was done exactly as we were told it would be and they were mindful of the health of the roots of a tree that's next to the driveway. It looks wonderful and they even angled an area for water to run off. We have a couple more big projects on the To-Do list and will absolutely have Juggs back to do them."

Our property has a low spot, and when it rains it creates a huge puddle (pond!) on one side of the driveway. Because we will be doing some driveway work, we needed to remedy this situation first.  Using both Angie?s List and other sources, we obtained estimates, many of which were quite high and the proposals seemed to be overkill for our situation. We contacted AJ (M&M Construction) and he responded quickly to meet with us to discuss the project. We had sent him pictures of the issue after a rain so he could better understand the problem.  He listened to our concerns, discussed options and give us his best solution and sent us a proposal the next day.

Based on our meeting with all the contractors, we decided to accept AJ?s proposal.  He was very knowledgeable, professional and willing to listen to what we had to say (which other contractors were not...one contractor came without pen or paper, asking us for some, even called his office several times asking how to use the equipment to measure the job!!). AJ stayed in touch concerning the scheduling of the work. The job needed to be coordinated with the driveway job and AJ worked with the contactor to ensure the drain would be placed appropriately. That saved us a lot of phone calls between contractors and left us feeling confident there would be no issues between the two jobs.

The crew arrived on time, got right to work and worked to get the job done in one day. AJ and his crew worked very well together. During the digging of the trench for the drain pipes, they ran into a huge buried tree stump that must have been left during the house construction. AJ offered to remove the stump, rather than work around it, noting that, as the stump rots it might cause sagging of the new driveway. He gave us a fair price to remove it and after some effort, he removed it and dragged it away. Even with that disruption, the job was completed in one day and completely to our satisfaction. After the drain and drain pipes were installed, they raked out the area, leveled it and left it ready for the driveway contractor. They even reseeded the area that was affected by the dragging of the stump.

We have had a number of construction projects done at our home and often we never saw the supervisor or person in charge on the job. But AJ was there from the beginning to the completion of the project. To us, that is important. If there is an issue, we know it will be addressed immediately.
