"I hire them to cut on a dead tree and cut several large branches on a very tall tree and cut down a tree that was leaning on the house. The quote was fair market price. They are very professional, and prompt. On the dead tree, they were actually able to cut it into log sizes. To fit into my fire Pit, which was something I didn't expect but was very happy about. The cleanup was miraculous. It doesn't even look like I had trees cut down. Everything was cleaned up, all the branches were chipped down and did not leave a mess with the chipping. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. Great job guys, thank you!"

"Bryan is fantastic and my new go to guy for stump grinding. Easy to talk to, courteous and professional. Big red oak and medium maples in some challenging spots. Quote process was seamless, he showed up when he said he would and worked hard until the job was finished. Also very safety minded and cleaned up nicely when finished. He is the only one I will call next time."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Homeowners are usually not responsible for trees that fall on power lines. Power companies usually have utility easements around power lines, which give them the responsibility to maintain any trees within about 15 to 20 feet of the lines.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.

It depends on the problem, the affected part of the tree, the risk of the pathogen spreading, and the overall health of your tree. Many diseases, fungal infections, and insect infestations can be successfully treated, especially if the issue is only in a few branches. However, if a disease is too widespread, too severe, too easily spread, or in the roots, the tree will likely need to be removed.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.
