It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.
