"Steve and his son Brad were EVERYTHING and MORE for what we were looking for to help with our remodel. They worked tirelessly on our project to help complete it. They first removed the popcorn ceilings when we found out there was NO ASBESTOS in it YAY...and then they re-textured the ceilings throughout and applied an orange peel to the walls so everything looks new and fresh! Lastly, they painted the entire house! Ceilings, walls, interior doors, base and case! You will NOT be disappointed with this crew...or find anyone that is as hard working as these guys! "About a year earlier than our project, several of the homeowners in our community with stucco homes had their chimney rebuilt and the stucco replaced as a result of mold, rotting wood, and other water infiltration problems. Seeing what our neighbors were doing and knowing about the problems with stucco in PA, we hired a stucco inspector who identified several areas around our house where the stucco needed to be remediated, including the chimney. JJ&E Construction agreed to remove the stucco and repair the areas identified by the inspector with the understanding that if addition underlying problems were found, they would be required to address them. Once the work started, it quickly became apparent that the original stucco was not installed correctly. JJ&E also found that the foundation on the back wall of our walk-out basement was not installed correctly and agreed to repair that. JJ&E removed all the original stucco, replaced any damaged or rotted wood, replaced any damaged insulation, and installed new exterior plywood, Tyvek® wrap, additional weatherproofing layers, aluminum wrap trim around the doors and windows, and stucco that meets all current codes. The craftsmanship of all the work was excellent."
