"I liked Derik the first time we met. He is light-hearted but very serious about doing a quality job. My wife and I had opportunities to watch him in action. Again, a very strong serious work ethic. He and his colleagues managed to get a monstrous boiler into the basement without tearing apart door frames, scratching woodwork including floors. To exemplify how Derik can concentrate on the work to be done, near the end the State Boiler Inspector and he were working on a boiler security switch and bleeding off boiling water while connecting wires and connectors. Derik also felt the need to answer his phone which he put between ear and shoulder since his hands were both busy . The phone fell into a bucket of steaming water! Derik reached into that hot water but couldn t grab the phone. He immediately emptied the bucket and got the phone. That all took only a minute or less. They went back and got the switch working properly in short order. The Inspector filled out the report and the boiler passed inspection. Only after that did Derik tend to his phone and a seriously burned hand. You do not get many chances to witness a hero. I was fortunate to see the real metal of this professional. I just got word that hand and phone are doing well. I will not hesitate to hire Derik again and again."
