"Eric supplied us with several options for tiling our backsplash. We went for the option that was a little more work and time but it was worth it. He was professional and timely and answered our questions along the way. Thanks Eric."

"Shout out to Frank for more beautiful floor work. Our kitchen keeps getting better and better! Take a look at this tile. Wish we had found Cransten earlier, but we WILL be coming back to them."

"We hired Aaron and team to install backsplashes for our kitchen and wet bar when we replaced the countertops. Aaron was great to work with, responsive, great communication, and went over and above to help us get the tile we wanted despite out of stock delays. The people that did the work were also outstanding. Great value. We'll use them again on future projects."

"I loved the enthusiasm they have for what they do. I hired them to tile 3 showers. Everything turned out perfect. Great attention to detail. I kept adding more work onto the list they rocked the back of my bar and even added a trap door to access the drain for our ice machine. Showed up every day and worked full days. Which through my remodel I learned is not a common practice for most contractors now a days. Thank you Chris and Casey!"

"AM9 is amazing! Their work is incredible, attention to detail is above and beyond. Prompt, excellent customer service and fair pricing. We had them do two showers and a fireplace and have them scheduled to do a kitchen backsplash next. We would definitely recommend them for any of your tile needs."

"There h was in time and did a great job installing luxury vinyl tiles in two baths and the laundry room. Looks great except there is a gap between the floor and molding. Not sure how to fix that in case we have a water issue all over the floor reaching the edges."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Larger tiles can be difficult to install because they’re heavier and bulkier than their smaller counterparts, which makes them harder to haul around and put in place. Plus, if you don’t install the tiles correctly, they could crack or break. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a professional for large-format tile installation.

Phone jack installation can be a complicated project that requires cutting holes into just the right location in the wall and running delicate wiring. This sort of job is best left to the professionals.

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.
