"Great job. Very knowledgeable. On time. Excellent clean up. I've used other tree services in this area, but Northern Colorado is now my favorite! I'll be calling them when I need more help with my trees."

"Top-Notch tree service has really lived up to its name every time I've used them. They've trimmed trees for me as well as taking out trees that unfortunately had to go. Their people are extremely skilled at what they do and have taken on Jobe requiring a huge crane to complete. I've literally never been concerned about any aspect of what they advised needing to be done."

"Hernandez tree service was phenomenal. They were timely, presentable and overall good to work with. They did a removal of a large dead tree. As well as a trim on a smaller tree. The dead tree removal was in between my house and the neighbor's house and there were zero problems. They worked swiftly and accurately. I would highly recommend for any tree services you may need."

"They had the best price out of several businesses. Showed up with 3 people and cut the tree down very careful cause it was in a very bad spot between house and garage. Job very well done and they cleaned up very well after. Very satisfied"

"They made a tough job look easy. I needed two trees felled in a tight space and they nailed it. I just had Artisans drop the trees across my driveway and into the front yard. I took care of cutting everything to fireplace size and cleaning up and hauling away the debris. Next time I'll have them do the whole job. (A sadder man but wiser now...) I still have two stumps to grub out. Oh baby. The reason I did not give them 5 on Customer Service is they were pretty slow on responding to contact requests. I found Ben to be a very pleasant person."

"My neighbor had 5 trees removed by them. Watching them work I realized I was watching professionals. I hired them to have 3 very large trees removed from my property and was happy with the work both in speed and price. I will be using them from now on for all my tree service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Any tree that needs to be pruned should be pruned to remove dead branches at least once a year. You may need to prune far more often if you’re trying to maintain a certain shape or to save a tree that suddenly becomes infected.

If you’re taking down a tree that you don’t suspect is affected by disease or pests and it’s nowhere near your home or other structures, then calling in a tree company should work fine. However, anything more involved means an arborist is a better option. These pros have years of experience with tree removal and can safely take down trees located next to structures, and they have the tools, sanitization equipment, and experience to remove sick or dying trees without infecting nearby trees.

Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.
