"Geena in the office couldn't have been more professional in arranging my blow out-winterization appointment. Jerrid showed up right on time and was so nice, efficient and knowledgeable. He pointed out two repairs but let me know I could wait until spring start-up and get it all taken care of then. He even checked on my back-flow for me to make sure it's in good shape. I recommend them 100%."

"I have been using Acme Lawn for about three years and I have been very happy with them. My lawn looks great. They are there every week. Always making sure the gates are closed because I have dogs. I would highly recommend them."

"Scott and his crew were very professional, hard working, creative and worked with 100% integrity! He transformed our lawn and landscape into a beautiful space that we love. Scott built three amazing raised beds for us as well as reviving our grass, creating a gravel driveway, and also created other pathways and flower accents throughout the whole yard. We absolutely recommend him!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We had been looking for a "go to" landscaper that did good work within a reasonable price - that we could use over and over again. Minh is just this guy for us. We had him build a border wall with large retaining wall blocks as well as re-sod damaged grass due to very active puppies. The border had to match the fire pit color blend built 5 years ago. He took the time to find the correct, exact match for the color scheme as it was not designated on our old receipt from the previous contractor. The wall/border looks great. The sod looks great (nice and level). He is honest, does not try to "put on the sale" and most importantly does great work for a reasonable price! We will be hiring him any time we need landscape related work done!"

"I am not far enough into the service program to evaluate the lawn care treatment quality or value for the money. I signed up for the lawn and tree program over the phone and was told the company would not use any high pressure or up-sale tactics, My impression was that up selling did occur when the technician came for our initial treatment and told me that we had mite issues and the price for treatment would be lower if I signed up through him rather than calling the company and adding the service on, I am not sure if this was a version of high pressure or if in fact it was true, but it did NOT feel good. I did sign up with the technician, btw."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

In many cases, it’s a good idea to water St. Augustine grass daily to keep the soil moist and the grass thriving. It’s drought-tolerant, but it’s always best to keep it watered. However, it’s also important not to overwater, so skip watering during wetter conditions and aerate your lawn to promote proper soil drainage.

Yes, it’s acceptable to water the lawn in very hot weather, but you should try to water between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. for best results. However, watering when the temperature is above 95 degrees is ineffective. If you’re concerned about whether to water your lawn during extreme heat, consult a local lawn care professional who can recommend a watering schedule based on your grass type and climate.

Yes, Bahia grass spreads on its own thanks to its short stolon system. However, it might not seem like your Bahia grass spreads well due to its slow growth. Bahia grass takes around 3 to 4 weeks to germinate and an additional two weeks to grow thicker.

During this time, fast-growing, competitive weeds may pop up, so weed your lawn to give your Bahia grass a chance to grow. This grass can take up to two years to become established. Once established, Bahia grass typically does well in suitable climates.

Lawn mower blades should be sharp enough that you can feel the sharpened edge, but not sharp enough to cut you when you touch them. Over-sharpening blades to a fine, razor-edge poses a safety risk and decreases the blade's life because it causes extra wear; the thinner edge is sharper but weaker and will require more frequent sharpening.

As a beginner, start by mowing your lawn in symmetrical rows by turning the mower at the end of each row and overlapping with the previous row. Use an edging tool or weedwacker to make your lawn look sharp and crisp around the edges, and then sweep the debris back into the yard. Take it slow, and know that you can adjust your approach or pattern the next time your grass needs a clip.
