About us

ScienTurfic Sod has been providing green to the Denver area for 50 years having sold more than 10,000 acres of turfgrass. We use our own special blends of seed and fertilizer to produce a premium sod that is specially adapted for the Colorado climate. Our EcoTurf, EcoElite, and Tahoma 31 sod blends are all environmentally friendly and drought resistant. Water use in the landscape is now top of mind for all of us. All of our sod blends have been grown and developed with water conservation in mind. Use our expert installers to install your new lawn. ScienTurfic Sod offers three sod installation packages ranging from lay-on-grade to a full lawn renovation including sod cut-out, ground preparation, organics, sub- grading, leveling, raking, and installation of our farm fresh sod. Delivery and pick up services are also available.

You need to watch the crew like a hawk. In my case, I contracted to have remaining grass and weeds to be removed add soil amendments and rototill, smooth, and establish the final grade. The grass was not only remaining along edges but in common areas as well. The final grade was not smooth and level. They proceeded in laying sod! I intervened and stopped the laying of sod. I asked for the remaining grass to be removed and till the soil before laying the sod. Did I mention I only have 188 sq ft and the sod was laid both horizontally and vertical with no pattern!

I layed the sod,the sod was dry when delivered.after two weeks,the grass is now starting to show signs of life.I should have rejected the sod when it was delivered.
