Not all furniture needs to be disassembled. Smaller items or pieces that are easily transportable might not require disassembly. You only need to worry about assembling large pieces, like a sofa, in order to fit through existing door frames and hallways. Before you disassemble anything, take measurements of your furniture and talk to your moving company about what should be taken apart prior to moving.

It’s not required. Some treadmills aren’t designed for dismantling, so you’ll need to move in one piece. Others can be quickly disassembled and reassembled, so taking them apart is a great way to save on space and make the move easier. Consult your treadmill’s user manual for more information and to find the best option.

To transport a bed frame, disassemble it as much as needed and then wrap it with moving blankets or bubble wrap to prevent damage. If you’re transporting the frame in your vehicle, check to ensure it’ll fit before you start. If not, you might need to rent a moving truck or hire professional movers to transport your bed frame to its new home.
