"I'm a senior, I am sensitive to wifi. I thought I had fleas at first, biting sensation on the skin, so I called EDGE and was quickly coerced into a $1400 contract. There was never any bug test done for bugs just a fat contract. I replaced my wifi router with a cable router and canceled the wifi. I went to the doctor, bought a digital microscope and realized there were no fleas in my home, I tried for months to get out of their contract for $1400 I did not need, nope they held me to it. My credit card was charged constantly for one year until the $1400 was used up. The last two appts I would not let EDGE on my propety and they charged my card an additional $200 anyways. But as the years added on, other forms of insects were added onto the roster. Next was termites, as that usually merits fast response from homeowners. Nowadays Father and Son Pest Control can take on any problem no matter what the species.

Preventing rats and mice from getting into the attic can be challenging, but it’s not impossible. Here are a few steps you can take to keep them looking elsewhere for a new place to call home:

  • Block or cover any potential access holes

  • Keep piles or stacks of firewood or other materials away from the house

  • Seal food and garbage in containers to prevent rodents from chewing through or getting in

Follow this up with a generous sprinkle of salt all over the mattress, and let it sit overnight. Finally, vacuum the mattress to clean up the salt, dead fleas, and flea offspring.

Spiders are not typically attracted to bedding as a primary source of food or shelter, but they sometimes inadvertently end up there. Spiders can hitch a ride on your clothing, belongings, or through open windows and doors. The underside of a bed, especially if it's near a wall or corner, can provide such a sheltered spot where they can hide and build webs. Dust and clutter under your bed can create ideal hiding places as well. If your room has other insects like flies or mosquitoes, spiders may be drawn to the area in search of prey. 

Naturally get rid of gnats by luring them into a homemade trap with sweet-smelling items from around the house. Cover a bowl with plastic wrap, place a paper cone in a jar, or simply leave a wine bottle with a bit of residue on the bottom. Each of these traps will attract remaining gnats and keep them from spreading.
