"I was extremely happy with the work of Lorax Tree Service. Very hard working, diligent, and did exactly as he promised. Very easy to recommend this company. They totally removed 6 trees over 70' tall and pruned about a dozen orchard trees. Work was safely done and showed a tremendous amount of expertise!"

"No project was to big for Robert! I had total of 6 tall elm trees that Robert and his company was able to service , four that needed to be taken down and two that needed to be trimmed. All the trees were in bad shape with YEARS of growth and neglect, many hanging over my, my neighbors homes, power lines and street area. Robert mentioned that he does his work climbing and with ropes. It was amazing to watch, my neighbors enjoyed the free entertainment during the project. It was very obvious that Robert enjoyed his work. Was able to perform the service like a master surgeon, taking down each branch, limb, and trunk with the greatest of care and skill. Robert was my highest bidder for the job, however it was his professionalism that sold the job. He really cares for each tree, it's health and growth. Robert provided the necessary documents to assure me that he was able to handle the job in a safe and responsible manner. With good communication we were able to meet the needs of removing and providing some of the wood for personal use. My only concern is some of the larger trunk pieces will be brought down to manageable size . It was a pleasure to have Robert do this work. I will recommend him for any of your tree care. Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, no, tree topping isn’t a good technique, and you should avoid using it in most cases. Tree topping may be the only good option to save a tree following severe damage after a storm, but in most other cases, it’s not the right choice. Tree topping can leave trees vulnerable to disease and further damage, and most pros will suggest against it.

Any cutting of tree roots can hurt or kill a tree, which is why it's recommended you don’t do it unless the roots are damaging or invasive on a nearby structure like your home. You should never cut more than 15 percent of above-ground tree roots at one time. If you have any questions about cutting tree roots, contact your local arborist.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.
