"Honest. Respects the schedule and are on time every time. Careful of home owners property. Cuts tress into proper stove fit, in my case 16” cuts. Bids are lower than competitors. Careful cleanup. “Chips” throw away limbs. Crew is fast, safe and efficient. Tree cuts are stacked so that owner can fill tractor cart and tow to wood shed for stacking. Crew is polite and respectful with home owner. Always asks about using gates and travel over the property. I was extremely lucky to find these guys. I would definitely recommend them whole heartedly to anyone contemplating removing large trees “threatening” your home or garage, or barn as I had. Give them a shot…. You won’t be sorry!"

"I was extremely happy with the work of Lorax Tree Service. Very hard working, diligent, and did exactly as he promised. Very easy to recommend this company. They totally removed 6 trees over 70' tall and pruned about a dozen orchard trees. Work was safely done and showed a tremendous amount of expertise!"

"Uprooted Tree Service has worked on several of our properties in Southwest Colorado. We are fortunate to have found them! Not only does Robert understand what the tree "wants", but also understands what the customer wants and needs. HUGE trees have been beautifully managed: elms, aspens, cottonwoods, and conifers. He understands soil, moisture content and watering, and a clients budget. He was able to remove two giant aspens from our yard without using a boom truck, which would have ruined other landscaping. On-time, on-budget, and leaves the job site very neat."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, carefully prune back dead branches—don’t wait for pruning season. This helps keep your maple tree healthy and also helps prevent large branches from falling unexpectedly. Don’t seal the cut branch—trees can naturally take care of these wounds—but be sure to remove any source of fungus or pest infestation to help save the tree.

If you’re wondering why tree trunks are painted white in your area, it’s usually to prevent sunscald, a condition where extreme shifts in temperature can cause tree bark to split. Fruit trees are especially vulnerable to sunscald, so this treatment is worth considering if it’s something that affects your trees.

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

Permits are often required for large tree removals, especially in urban areas or for protected species, ensuring regulation compliance and neighbor safety.

You don’t always need a permit to grind a stump, but you might need one depending on your location and the stump’s surroundings. Permits are often needed if the stump is part of a protected tree species, near public areas or utility lines, or close to environmentally sensitive zones like wetlands. Some cities also regulate noise and work hours. Always check local rules before grinding, and contact your city or county office if you're unsure.
