"After looking for a couple of years and not being able to find a siding company that would smaller jobs, I finally found Colorado Siding Repair. They came out and reviewed the job to replace one wall of siding on my garage that was badly warped. I chose to use a different type than the original, remove a damaged vent, etc. and it came out perfect. They were prompt, kept the work area clean, did some additional finish details to make the front of my house look great. I had one small issue and they promptly came back out and fixed it immediately. I highly recommend this company (and have to several people). They are doing a great service by offering repair/replacement on smaller jobs."

"There was Thomas, Adam, and Eric that came to my home and install the new windows. They were very professional about their work, if I had questions, they would give me answers. They were here early, I was told they be here about 11:00 am. they got here about 9:00 and started on the windows. I love the windows!!! All the guys were courteous, sociable, and did a perfect job. Wood clapboard siding needs frequent sealing to keep it in top condition—likely every two to three years. A sealant helps protect it from both moisture and sunlight damage. Your weather and climate will affect how often you need to seal the siding, but the pros recommend sealing it every couple of years. Second, be careful about pressure washing your vinyl siding. Vinyl can resist powerful washing damage more than softer siding like wood, but high levels of pressure can still crack it. Use the lowest level of pressure for power washing vinyl, or hire a siding professional to do it.

The recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) for cleaning vinyl siding can vary, so it's best to consult the manufacturer's guidelines. Generally, vinyl siding can handle high pressure, from 2,500 to 3,500 PSI. For comparison, more delicate materials like wood and aluminum siding should not face more than 1,500 PSI. To safely disperse the pressure on vinyl, use a tip with a wider spray span, such as a green (25-degree) or yellow (15-degree) nozzle. For routine cleaning of light dirt, a garden hose with a spray nozzle may be sufficient. Always exercise caution to avoid using excessive pressure that could damage the siding.

Composite siding has excellent insulative properties and one of the highest R-values of siding materials available. Its R-value is 2 to 4; compare that to vinyl, wood, and fiber cement—all of which have R-values under 1. You can boost your siding’s R-value by installing a layer of foam insulation.
