"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "Beware!! They quoted me one price but once they got there and I called their office the lady said it would be more. Then after multiple calls while they kept changing their story they refused to give me my full deposit back until they received a refund for the permit. I will absolutely never use this company. It was the biggest headache ever."

He wanted to be sure that the bluish pipe entering the house was not the type that should be replaced before the work was done (it wasn't). He explained that they would not guarantee their work if it was and that they do not do the replacement work anymore. He was very thorough and knowledgeable - super helpful! Chizum estimated the work would take one hour (which it did exactly) and that if the pipe turned out to be the wrong kind he would not charge "a huge amount" for the service call. I plan to use IPS going forward!"

If you notice the filter is visibly dirty or clogged, it's a clear sign it needs attention sooner. Regular filter maintenance ensures proper airflow and helps your heat pump perform optimally, keeping your indoor air fresh and comfortable.

Whether an HVAC damper should be open or closed depends on the season, the zone it controls, and the temperature in that zone. In the summer, open upstairs dampers and close lower-level dampers to get the most efficient cooling possible. In the winter, do the opposite. Cool air will naturally flow down to lower levels, while warm air will rise. This keeps your system from working harder and helps prevent common AC problems.
