"After our neighbor’s recommendation we hired D & D Tree Service & Landscape to build a fence for our backyard. We are extremely pleased with their work and the company. Everyone was extremely efficient and professional. Our new fence is beautiful. We have also decided to hire them to install a sprinkler system and sod in the backyard."

Customers say: True professional

"Extremely pleased. The men were timely, hard-working, did an excellent job. I feel it was a good value for the money. The men installed a new crown and cap and ground out all the old cement and tuckpointed entire chimney stack. The area was left clean when they were finished."

"Sir, first of all, I appreciate your quick response to the project request and professionalism while on the job site. I did not intend to write a public review, but HomeAdvisor requires a customer review in order to proceed with a complaint for resolution through the company. After the initial inspection, you returned and completed: CrownCoat sealants, water sealant application for chimney bricks, wood fireplace cap replacement, gas fireplace capâ s sealant with high temp material and bent metal, and CreoAway application. The folio listed that the fireplace cleaning should be scheduled after 6-8 fires, and you â will return to install fireproof insulationâ (of inside of gas fireplace). Your business was a no-show for the fireproof insulation installation appointment on 14 Feb 2020 and a no-show for the follow-up chimney sweeping on 10 June 2020. On Thursday, 11 June 2020 you agreed to â have my office mail you a check for the chimney sweep only on Monday.â As of 7 July 2020 I have received no refund. I am requesting a full refund of the chimney sweep for $300 (out of the $1334 project total) so I can move on with another company to complete the work. Thank you for your time, and the completed work."

"We had a beautiful patio installed about 7 years ago. There was some settling that caused a few issues. We contacted System Pavers and the scheduled the repair and they did an amazing job. Often when you have any maintenance work there is a bit of a hassle with the companyâ ¦we had no hassle and look forward to working with them when we expand our patio."

"They were perfect. OMB was able to get me an estimate same day I requested service. They were then able to get me scheduled in for repair during the same week. The work looks incredible. They went above and beyond in their repair. I had to get the flue/exhaust for an old cast iron fireplace removed from my basement and basement wall patched up, along with a window well removed and filled with concrete. All at an affordable price! Thanks OMB!"

"Joe and his crew did a great with our project. He worked with us on taking some cost out of the project to meet our budget and we're in and out in the timeframe they quoted. After the project, some of the sod they installed had dried out, we didn't have total coverage on the sprinklers. Joe worked with me to come out, install new sprinkler heads and replaced some sod all on warranty. Some contractors get there money and run, Joe was very responsive to the issues and worked diligently to fix the problem. I'd recommend them for your project and I'd use them again!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Like so many other folks have already said, Tanner and his crew were just really great! I talked to Tanner several times on the phone, hired Silverline (they were one of the lower bids), made our plans, then finally met him and the guys at our job site. They were punctual, personable, professional, prepared, and we immediately liked and trusted the whole crew. They got to work immediately and right from the start we knew we had hired the right company. They spent two days clearing and loading and hauling away all the debris (our cabin burned to the ground in the Cameron Peak fire), and did a great job to get us ready to rebuild. We recommend Tanner and his company with enthusiasm and gratitude!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

According to the National Fire Protection Association’s Code NFPA 25 (titled “Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems”), private fire hydrants must undergo inspection once per year, with an accompanying flow test and any necessary maintenance performed on the same schedule. Keep in mind that your town, city, or county may adopt more or less strict testing requirements.

Burning a single palm tree stump, if you’re careful, is technically doable DIY. However, you should always take precautions to control the fire and do research if you’re burning multiple types of trees.

Some trees, such as ornamental trees, black cherry, and some oak trees, release toxins into the air when burned that can be irritating to your lungs (or even dangerous) to breathe in.

Most homeowners put a layer of compact sand or gravel at the bottom of their firepit, but you can also choose more decorative options like fire-resistant paving stones, bricks, or fire pit glass. Dirt by itself can even work, but other materials do a better job of spreading the heat around.

Scheduled cleanings and mindful operation habits prevent blockage growth, contributing to efficient smoke release and space heating enjoyment.

Yes, dead palm tree fronds are a fire hazard. The leaves become highly combustible because the dead fronds don’t fall off the tree themselves, especially in hot, sunny climates. In fact, many wildfires start from dead palm fronds. Palm trees can also easily catch fire from lighting, electrical power lines, and fireworks. So, cutting off dead palm fronds before they become a fire hazard is important.
