At LEVEL Engineering, we are committed to common sense, real-world engineering solutions. We started LEVEL because, after years in the building industry (Civil, Structural, Home Building, etc) we continued to see something missing in our industry that cost homeowners untold stress and frustration, contractors lost time and money and realtors and lenders left unable to satisfy their client's needs. We decided to do something about it, and then - LEVEL Engineering was founded. We serve your interests and provide knowledgeable, expert inspection, analysis, recommendation, and reporting. So whether your need is for permitting, forensics, foundation problems, new or repair engineering designs; or just for your peace of mind - let us help you navigate your structural engineering projects.

Customers say: Terrific value

J2.26 Engineering provides structural engineering inspection, design, and advice. We pride ourselves in providing these services with a personal manner for a reasonable cost. J2.26 can provide consultations in new build construction projects, remodels to homes, and Real Estate transactions.

"Unfortunately, our experience with Dan was about as bad as it could be. We were given a timeline of 5 weeks in mid February and, after months of ignored emails, finally received drawings in mid-June, 17 weeks later. Once submitted for permitting, the county realized that the snow load information was incorrect and rejected the plans. Frustrating to say the least. In discussing the requisite changes over the phone, Dan seemed unaware of fairly standard industry terms in residential construction (rake wall, difference between ceiling joist and roof rafter, cut roof vs truss, etc) which made us uncomfortable, to say the least. Keep in mind, this is after months of radio silence and considering we'd have to start from scratch with another engineer. Things were discussed three, four times and necessary changes still not made. Fortunately we work with our building department a lot, and these can be addressed in the field. I understand that delays happen. I understand that things can get complicated, often quickly. That said, I expect a level of professionalism, communication, and competence when paying someone for their service. You're a smart consumer and will do as you wish, but we will never, under any circumstance, be using Dan and J2.26 Engineering ever again."

"Greg was absolutely great----arrived early, incredibly professional, and found several things I suspect a lot of other competitors would have missed which were very much appreciated. The inspection went fast, but nothing was missed. This guy obviously knows his stuff, and we've already recommended him to a neighbor considering selling and buying a new house too. Again, great guy, highly professional and knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. A+++ Scott Hoffman"

Welcome! Kellar Associates is an innovator in residential construction we are changing how business gets done. As a General Contractor we are the organizer and leader of a great team. Successful projects are measured on a macro level and a micro level with pre-planning and managing details to ensure a clear path. Our commitment to give our customers a good experience is our most valuable asset. Each house gets our special brand of two guarantees 1( We commit to treat your house the way we would treat our own home giving the same pride of craftsmanship 2( We will do our best work every time. Yes! You will find it written into our contract. In every project there are only three essential elements schedule, cost, and quality. Typically the owner has determined what priority these elements are to be considered by competing General contractors when bidding a project usually with quality as the unintended third consideration. Kellar Associates has changed the way residential construction gets done. We have formed relationships with subcontractors that share our beliefs of doing our best work every time and living inside of budgets. It is ok to not look at the individual profitability of a project when you know that it varies, but because the subs work together on all of our projects everything balances throughout the year. By working with these type of personnel it is easy to say that the price doesn’t matter if the quality isn’t there and that is how we start all of our relationships. We don’t believe in change orders unless the owner requested a change. Sometimes it is unavoidable to change your mind as your dreamy project gets closer to being a reality. We take a great interest in our customers to protect you from unforeseen circumstances when possible and to give information of unintended consequences when making your owners typical decisions such as finishes or changes.

Being first time home builders, Bryan helped make the process as smooth as possible and helped put any concerns we may have had going into it at ease. His attention to detail and communication was second to none. He was very responsive throughout the whole process whenever we had any questions and always met the deadlines he had set. I would most definitely recommend using the services BDPeak offers for any prospective building projects."

RMG - Rocky Mountain Group was originally founded in 1986 by John P. Clarke, P.E. as a Structural and Civil Engineering firm. Our first office was located in Colorado Springs, at the base of beautiful Pikes Peak Mountain in Colorado. In 1988 the firm added geotechnical services through a merger with a local Geotechnical company. With the recent acquisition of Colorado Engineering & Geotechnical Group in 2010, three branch offices were added in Teller County, Douglas County and North El Paso County, Colorado. The Douglas County office was soon expanded into the Denver area. Our additional acquisition of Total Engineering Services (TES) added a Northern Colorado office. This completed our expansion along the entire Front Range. Our staff of professional engineers, geologists, designers, technicians, CAD operators and administrative personnel has the most versatile experience and expertise in the state. These professionals are involved in the community at all levels, including professional organizations, technical groups, governmental committees, and industry associations. With constant change and innovation in the industry, we emphasize continuing education of our staff so our clients can count on our reliable expertise. Our client base continues to grow each year with our commitment to the true needs of our clients.

"Ryan has inspected our homes for purchase and sale over the past few years. Not only is he thorough in his inspection, he is honest and transparent. He saved us from what would have been a major headache of a home purchase. During his visits he also provides lots of advice on how to perform water mitigation (the enemy of all foundations) and provided insight on the structural nature and integrity of the home we're purchasing. The piece of mind of having an engineer inspect your house is worth the cost, and Ryan is especially great to work with. Cannot recommend him enough! Thanks Ryan!"

Structural Engineering questions, answered by experts

Structural engineers are necessary for projects involving alterations to load-bearing structures, foundation work, and compliance with safety standards. This includes home expansions, retaining walls, and significant repairs that impact a property's integrity.

Cathedral ceilings make a statement in your home, but at the cost of your attic space. Normal attics are wide open, which allows warm air to move around and exit your home. Because of this, cathedral ceilings make your home less energy efficient and put your ceiling at risk of venting issues if you’re not careful. They also reduce your attic storage space, potentially cause an echo, and even make it harder to change a light bulb.

Any issue that affects the structural integrity or soundness of a home is considered a structural issue. In addition to foundation cracks, other signs of structural issues include roof leaks, bowing walls, sloping floors, gaps around windows and doors, and more.

A structural engineer’s report includes a professional assessment of a property’s foundation condition, structural elements like roof trusses and floor joists, and the skeleton of the home, including studs, beams, and rafters. It will also usually include an assessment of drainage on the property and any potential issues that could arise from environmental conditions, like extreme weather in the area and even tree placement.

A split-level home is one that has several staggered floors connected by short staircases, while a split floor plan separates the primary bedroom from the rest of the bedrooms. Split floor plans are most often found in single-story homes, while split-level homes are always at least two stories.
