Hello, My name is Mario Licata. I have been building, remodeling, cleaning and doing all around property maintenance since 1986. I am a master window cleaner, studied electrical theory for four years while I was an electrician. I love being a father and a husband but it doesn't pay well so I do these other jobs to pay the bills. I am an honest hardworking person. Over the years I have developed great relationships with other service professionals and that is why I am able to offer such a wide range of services to my clientele. However, rest assured, I am tooled and capable to take care of your work if one of my great service professionals is not able to attend to it. I have been a business owner since 1986 and I have grown and sold 2 small businesses in that time.

"Went well........they moved inside items carefully to get access, used ladders where needed, cleaned sills and outside frames and screens in addition to windows, stayed busy and tolerated my obnoxious ankle biter."

"John and Dave are the best electricians I have found in Grand Junction. They do good work and understand customer service. John bid the job and didn't try to charge any extras after getting it, which speaks volumes about his character. That's a game many contractors play and it was refreshing to hire someone that didn't do it. I would highly recommend calling Steeds, LLC first if you need an electrician in the grand valley area."

We are a small, local repair and remodeling company. We provide high detail service and pride ourselves on making every customer happy one homeowner at a time. If needed, we will ocassionally hire subcontractors to get the job done on schedule. If the job site distance exceeds 10 miles from the office there will be a $30 trip charge, which is due upon arrival. If hired for the project, the trip charge will be discounted on the invoice.

"Frank was prompt, efficient, and nice to talk with. He was able to schedule the appointment with me for the morning after I called him. He completed all projects very well and is clearly a skilled handyman. The bed frame in particular was a lot of work, and he did an excellent job. I was glad I contacted him, and I highly recommend him."

We have 4 licensed and insured Electricians. We do sub-contact work as well as service work. For approved bid work we bill 10% up front, 50% at rough-in, and the final 40% after trim out. For service work we bill on site upon completion of job and customer satisfaction.

"I have never written a negative review.. but this one calls for it. This was truly one of the owrst experiences I have ever had with a vendor. I had this company do a large eletrical job at my property 2 years ago where they redid some eletrical boxes on a property we were purchasing. I was having issues in our small (800 sq ft) ADU with the eletrcial out in half of the home. The breaker was not tripped. I called them because they have record of our home's eletric. They came to the home and later that day when our tenant arrived back, the problem persisted. I received an invoice the next day for over 400.00 for 3 hours of labor with 2 guys. They said they switched the breaker, but couldnt find the breaker box (that they put on our house 2 years previous).. so it took them 3 hours to find the box on an 800 sq. ft house. I called them explaining that the problem was not addressed, and that I would pay the invoice in full if we could address the issue. The admin ladies were so rude to me. They spoke over me, would not let me explain, or negotiate and said that they would charge me the same amount to return. So I proceeded to ask if we could negotiate the invoice as the work was not completed and they should have review their records on our house or called me if they could not find the box... She proceeded to say if I dont pay they will take me to collections and that there is no negotiating. I even told them I would pay for transportation and an hour of time, SHE REFUSED, still threatening to take us to collections. I paid my invoice because o fher threats and have now resorted to writing my experience. I DO NOT recommend working with this company.."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to install your own ceiling fans if you’re replacing an existing one. This work doesn’t require a permit and technically doesn’t necessitate a certified electrician, but it’s still a good idea to hire one. There’s always a safety risk when working with electrical components, even if you shut the power off at the breaker. If you’re installing a new ceiling fan where there currently isn’t a fixture, you will need a licensed electrician to run the new wiring and pull permits for the work.

If your home doesn’t have the existing wiring to power a ceiling fan, you may need to hire a certified electrician to set it up for you. Building codes in some parts of the country require this part to be done by an expert. And in general, you want peace of mind that your electricals are installed correctly.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where there is already a light fixture. The electrical wiring needed to install a ceiling fan is similar to that of a light fixture. Before you make the swap, consider whether you need an extension rod and whether your ceiling is on an angle. You will need a fan-rated electrical box to ensure that your ceiling is sturdy enough to handle a spinning fan.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.
