HOMETOWN ELECTRIC INC

I have never written a negative review.. but this one calls for it. This was truly one of the owrst experiences I have ever had with a vendor. I had this company do a large eletrical job at my property 2 years ago where they redid some eletrical boxes on a property we were purchasing. I was having issues in our small (800 sq ft) ADU with the eletrcial out in half of the home. The breaker was not tripped. I called them because they have record of our home's eletric. They came to the home and later that day when our tenant arrived back, the problem persisted. I received an invoice the next day for over 400.00 for 3 hours of labor with 2 guys. They said they switched the breaker, but couldnt find the breaker box (that they put on our house 2 years previous).. so it took them 3 hours to find the box on an 800 sq. ft house. I called them explaining that the problem was not addressed, and that I would pay the invoice in full if we could address the issue. The admin ladies were so rude to me. They spoke over me, would not let me explain, or negotiate and said that they would charge me the same amount to return. So I proceeded to ask if we could negotiate the invoice as the work was not completed and they should have review their records on our house or called me if they could not find the box... She proceeded to say if I dont pay they will take me to collections and that there is no negotiating. I even told them I would pay for transportation and an hour of time, SHE REFUSED, still threatening to take us to collections. I paid my invoice because o fher threats and have now resorted to writing my experience. I DO NOT recommend working with this company..

The project was completed in a timely manner.  There was dust and insulation from the installation of the canned lights but that was cleaned up at the end of the project.  The permit was obtained by the company and the electrician arranged for and was present during the inspection.  The final cost was very close to the original estimate.

Great they were friendly and reliable as well as fair price.

Sterling (owner) was recommended by a neighbor when we moved to Paonia, and he did a fine job running a 220v line to our glass studio. He's competent and personable. I should have posted this long ago - he deserves the business.

They have done service for me. They completely did the wiring and electrified the shed outside my house. I have actually recommended them to probably 30 people. I just love Hometown Electric. They are wonderful. They are total professionals in everything they do. When they first came out they gave me a bid. I wanted to do some weird stuff with my electricity like hang it a certain way. They advised me not to and they actually gave me code enforcement. Their billing system was fabulous. They worked with me on payments. I can’t say enough good things about Hometown Electric. I would absolutely recommend Hometown Electric INC. I would definitely use them again in the future.
