"We are very happy with the results of our door installation. The entire doorway had to be cut out and expanded to fit the standard sized doors. TME did a quick and accurate job. It looks great!"

Customers say: True professional

"Derek, the owner of Local Home Services, Inc, did an outstanding job for me. I would definitely hire him again in the future. He installed a new LED flourescent light over my kitchen sink in my apartment (something I had been wanting for over a year. He also installed a new switch in my art studio so and a new overhead light fixture that can now be turned on without flickering. He made several trips to Home Depot to find just the right light to install in the middle of the ceiling. In addition, he installed a file closet room. Now I don't have to stand on a chair in the dark to look for things. The total cost for labor and materials was just $492.50. What a deal I highly recommend this company. They are located at 518 Raymond Avenue, 10 Santa Monica, CA 90405. Tel: 424-433-5533. LHSPRO.com."

"Amazing! Felipe and his crew are so nice and so professional. They installed a double door where a window used to be and also upgraded two other doors. And installed a dog door. Everything just took a week!"

"Scheduling an appointment was easy.  Office staff was very helpful.  The serviceman arrived promptly and I reviewed the work that needed to be done with him.  He went to a nearby building supply store only a mile from my home and purchased the non slip strips..  After installing the non slip strips, he then nailed up two fence boards that had come down.  He inspected a motion sensor light and repositioned the sensor.. He changed an oven light bulb for which I already had a replacement.  He installed some weather stripping I had in the back door, but it was too thick and the door wouldn't close.  He was running out of the contracted time and so he removed the weather stripping and advised me about what to do about closing the gaps in the back door.  He inspected and gave me an estimate for refinishing the front door.
I was unhappy with the  time it took to accomplish these simple tasks and with the price --- $305 for labor and $154 for materials.  (I understand and agree with the travel time and mark-up).  I complained to the owner, Dave Silverman.  After hearing the details outlined above, he made a generous adjustment in the price of the work.
I have used this provider in the past and was very happy with his work.  I would not hesitate to recommend him.  He is honest and fair and will try to rectify anything that goes wrong with your visit.  His workers are knowledgeable and competent.    I think his prices are high, but you get what you pay for.

"Service was great and pricing very competitive. Nick Knuth was very knowledgeable when he came to do an assessment of the work to be done, and answered all my questions I'm a very clear way. The techs worked pretty quickly and efficiently when installing the new unit. Deisy and Emma from the office always made sure that things were taken care of and went above and beyond with follow-ups and updates. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs this service."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

The main things to consider when hiring an exterminator is your infestation size and budget. The price range for roach extermination varies widely depending on the circumstances. If it’s a localized infestation that only requires a few treatments from an exterminator, it will probably only cost hundreds of dollars at most. But if you have a large house and a widespread infestation, be prepared to pay thousands of dollars for fumigation and tenting.

An owl's worst enemy in the wild is often other raptors and environmental factors. Among the avian threats, larger owls or other birds of prey can pose a danger, engaging in territorial disputes or competing for food resources. Terrestrial predators like foxes, raccoons, and larger mammals may target owl nests or young fledglings. Environmental factors like severe weather conditions, habitat loss, and food availability changes can also significantly impact owl populations.

Earwigs may look scary with their pincers, but they don’t pose a serious threat to humans or pets. They are not poisonous, do not sting, and rarely bite or pinch unless handled. While they are not known to transmit diseases, their presence can signal underlying moisture problems in your home, such as mold, water damage, or rotting wood. A large infestation can become a nuisance, and certain species may emit an unpleasant odor. Therefore, while earwigs themselves aren’t dangerous, a large number of them may indicate bigger issues that should be addressed by a pest control professional.

Setting up an animal trap in your yard largely depends on where you live and the type of critter you're dealing with. In many states, trapping nuisance animals like squirrels, rats, or raccoons is allowed, sometimes without needing a permit. However, certain wildlife species are protected, and not all states have lenient catch-and-release regulations.

Before placing a trap, check your local laws to avoid fines or other legal issues. Some areas allow DIY trapping, while others may require professional assistance. Most areas require a professional to relocate the animal once trapped. Consulting a pro ensures you handle the situation responsibly, humanely, and within the law.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.
