"This is my first time leaving a review for a company as I've never felt the need to, but using Pacific Environmental I feel I should share with my home owners. My husband and I bought out first home which we love but a room had acoustic ceiling. I reach out to PEAS, which everyone in the office was very helpful and patient on guiding me through this experience. Their scheduling was amazing as I was dealing with Closing Escrow and moving my family in. Once they arrived, they informed me on the scope of work and what they would be doing and what to expect, this being my 8-year-old son room so I was a bit worried on hazardous material that was being removed and used. "Michael Kuretich thoroughly tested the inside and outside of the house for lead paint. He took many samples from linoleum glue (black tar) on different surfaces and had them tested for asbestos. He came back a few times and tested the air after the removal of lead-containing bathroom tiles and flooring that contained asbestos in the glue. He did not charge me for one of his visits and inspections. His price is really fair while maintaining quality. He is knowledgeable ang gives sound advice. I used one of the companies he recommended for lead and asbestos removal and I was very happy with their work as well.
Another company listed with Angie's List wanted much more for the same service. When I asked why, he said that is the price for and quot;wall-to- wall testing.and quot; Please watch out for crooks.

"I have been working with Ron McProud since around 2004 when he found extensive mold in my home after heavy rains led to water penetration. Ron identified the scope of damage, specified the protocol for repair and monitored a third party mold remediation contractor to make sure that they fully-remediated. He issued a report that gave me (and the eventual buyer of the house) complete comfort that the mold had been remediated. At my next home, Ron found mold in our air conditioning return vent and again specified the correct scope of repair (which led to a significant savings, because the water remediation contractor was attempting to perform more work than required). He again provided expert advice regarding what furniture to keep, what to dispose, how to clean, etc. When we moved again to another house and had a blackwater flood from the downstairs bathroom, there was no question that we would call Ron. He came out, tested the area and this time (thankfully!) found no mold at all. It was good to knowo that we have Ron as a resource. He has become our trusted advisor with respect to all water intrusion. Whenever anyone asks for a mold inspector/water intrustion expert, I give them Ron McProud's contact info without any hesitation. In fact, I gave his name to the association of a new 50 unit condo project that was having mold issues, and he quickly assessed the problem and provided a cost-effective solution, reducing the anxiety of the new homeowners who had moved into the project. "My remediation was challenging because I live a couple states away from the house I own. I had received a quote from another company saying that my whole bathroom needed to be torn out. When AM/PM inspected, they suspected that the damage was not that widespread. Sure enough, when they did the demo, the mold had not spread widely into the walls. I appreciated their honesty, even though it meant a smaller job. Maya came to the house to assess the damage, then remained my point of contact throughout the job. She was kind, knowledgable and professional. She even recommended a 3rd party testing company to come and certify their work. AND all of this happened over the Christmas holiday. "In December 2009 we discovered mold in an upstairs bedroom closet.  We found Circle Vision Construction on Jen's List, where Frank Colbert was highly recommended.  From day one, Frank managed all aspects of the mold remediation and subsequent reconstruction.  He negotiated with the insurance company, who paid him directly so we didn't have to deal with any payments.  His staff was polite, clean and extremely efficient.  We experienced none of the contractor issues we hear from friends and colleagues.  He brought in a top notch designer, who was covered within the insurance funds.  All rooms involved were torn out, down to the studs.  We remodeled the upstairs bath, adjacent bedroom, powder room and laundry room to custom home standards, all within the insurance funds.  This included hard wood floors, tile, custom cabinets for the baths and laundry room, granite, high end lighting fixtures and hardware. In additon, Frank arranged for wood floors to be laid and substantial interior and exterior painting including repair of our window trim, patio cover, and gazebo, which had suffered both termite and weather-related damage.  The project took about 6 months to complete and we were able to live in the home all through that time.  Throughtout that time, Frank was a constant presence, from overseeing his subcontractors, to performing hands on work, to taking us shopping to pick out hardware, tile, wood and granite.

In October 2010, a hot water pipe behind the wetbar in our family room burst requiring more mold remediation and complete reconstruction.  We called Frank immediately.  Again he negotiated with the insurance company, and we were able to lay hardwood floors, install custom cabinetry, and re-construct a pub-style bar with granite and wood and a built in refrigerator, all within the insurance funds. We worked with the same designer, who selected window treatments, sofa cushions, throw rugs and accessories to complete the look of the room.
