I am a sole proprietor starting a new handyman business offering a professional job at an affordable price.

"On 9/12/18 Gary came and gave a estimate after looking at the project. I said I was willing to pay more if there were problems. He set an appointment for 9am on 9/24/18 and assured me he would be there. On 9/24/18 he had not come by 10:15am. I called and left a messsge and textd him. I did not ever receive a reply to either communication."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Many ceiling fan mounts feature a design that can accommodate slight slopes by using a ball joint mechanism at the end of the downrod. If your ceiling has a steeper slope than your fan allows for, you can install a downrod that will allow your fan to safely hang below the slope.

Installing a ceiling fan offers multiple benefits, including improved air circulation, enhanced room aesthetics, and cost-effective temperature control, which can reduce reliance on HVAC systems and save energy bills.

Generally, a ceiling fan should be mounted at least seven feet from the floor in the center of your room with a wall clearance of around 18 inches. If your ceiling is more than eight feet high, it’s recommended by experts that the ceiling fan be mounted around eight to nine feet from the ground. This helps ensure a better quality of circulated airflow.

Fans not turning on, wobbling, noisy motors, or faulty remote controls are common issues requiring repair.

Yes, adding wiring for a ceiling fan where there is none requires an electrician to build the electrical infrastructure. You should not attempt to do this job yourself, as electrical work can be dangerous without experience. All told, the job is a big one, and it might cost up to $2,000.
