"

Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.

"Zohar and his team of specialist people did a complete remodeling of the kitchen including two bathrooms. The remodeling included all the custom cabinets for the kitchen and raising the ceiling in the kitchen by 10 inches, installing all the new floors in the bathrooms, adding all the new lights in the kitchen and bathrooms, Repaint all the interior walls of the kitchen and bathrooms too. All the design done by Zohar. The work was better than perfect and the cabinets fits like a glove to the kitchen space and they are mainly outstanding. The design part of the kitchen and bathrooms are one of Zohar's main qualifications. Supervision to perfection, dependable vendors for all the materials and appliances which added another reason why this remodeling was a success. The remodeling project was over after 4 weeks of daily work and it was 2 days longer than projected, but it's was not an issue at all because it came out better than what we wanted. All the list for minor repairs that were needed to be corrected, were fixed by the people in swiftly and professionally way. Regarding the final amount of the project – the price was good and Zohar didn’t increased it even though with the several changes that we asked and he did for us. We'll happily use them again."

"Steve was very professional and installed an attic fan sized correctly for my large attic; wired and installed two outdoor garage light fixtures; and replaced backyard floodlights. He was especially helpful in recommending the types of fixtures that would meet my needs based on what I said I was trying to accomplish."

"Installed ceiling fan explaining option pertaining to electrical switches which I liked. Installed CFCI switch and replaced existing light fixture. I did supply the ceiling fan, light fixture and CFCI switch which was my choice. He did quote me $150 to $200 and we did get charged the $200. I think I should have clarified in the pricing prior to contract if the CFCI switch would have been included in pricing. Worked diligently for 3 hours and the time frame was 3-4 hrs."

"Punctual, friendly, did great work. The deal I had purchased was for four recessed lights. I decided when they got to my house that I wanted two extra (six total), and they didn't gouge me on the price for the extras. Also, the house has been remodeled, and I mistakenly thought there was a light tree in the center of the ceiling. Thankfully, they were able to figure out I was wrong without drilling into that part of the ceiling, and were able to wire the lights from another source while only cutting one small hole in the ceiling. The recessed lights completely transform the room. Excellent work. I would definitely recommend them.

"GoodFellas created an amazing home for us!!! We created an open concept floor plan for our kitchen and living area. They started off right, creating an open concept idea for our closed-in home that we could not even conceptualize on our own along with that, increasing usage of square footage in our home! Create an open floor plan was the best thing we could ever done to our home, and hiring GoodFellas Construction was the second. Everything was done by the book, they made sure that everything we did complied to city ordinates and most importantly, safe for me and my family for many many years. We were in constant communication with the team throughout the process, this reassured us that we made the right/optimal decisions in our home improvement.
First off, they had an experienced structural engineer come over to look at the walls of our home and to ensure that the walls were not the primary structural wall, once they discovered that it was they added a metal beam in the roof so that the open concept space would not cave in, they made sure that the roof was all one height and not have a weird low bearing ceiling where the beam was added. That came out beautifully. For the floors we wanted to match the kitchen to the living room, we choose beautiful real wood that would add value to our home, and the kitchen, wow! I feel so amazed by it every day! A dream kitchen that was promised and delivered! We could not be more satisfied with the job done.  We choose quartz and that was a great decision because it will look better then granite in the long run. They had beautiful cabinet makers create custom cabinets for our kitchen the selection was vast and really great quality.
Crew-awesome, friendly and hard working. They came in each morning with smiling faces, ready to work. Did their best to keep the noise level and dust to a minimum. Finished on initial scheduled time. We have nothing but great sentiments with the company. We will use them again for our bathrooms in the near future."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.

Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.

For a 12x12 room, a fan between 36" and 50" will work, as it falls in the range for spaces up to 144 square feet. These size fans provide adequate air circulation and ensure a comfortable environment without being overpowering. Even better, they come in a broad range of styles, offering aesthetics and functionality, making them suitable choices for maintaining an ideal room temperature and enhancing overall comfort.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.
