"It went great! Tim was very professional. He kept in good contact with me before he showed up, and did a nice job cleaning or chimney and fireplace. He also inspected my chimney and fireplace to give me a heads up on any potential future problems. I will definitely call them in the future."

"Tech john was sharp clean and seemed to know his stuff. Fee for cleaning and detailed inspection good value for money. Inspection also included using video camera on a Poole that lets both see every inch of the inside of the chimney which I appreciated."

Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, there’s no definitive answer to this question, but the wind rating of your shingles will give you a good idea of what wind speeds can damage your roof. If you’re concerned about damage, inspect your roof following windy conditions to look for signs of wind damage to your shingles. When in doubt, consider hiring a professional who fixes roofs to carry out an expert inspection. Remember that hurricanes, tropical storms, and tornadoes are likely to cause the most damage, but even severe thunderstorms can bring winds that compromise your roofing system.

Whether you should repair or replace your roof boils down to the scope of the damage. If you need to replace more than 20% or 30% of your roof, then it’s probably a good idea to just replace the entire roof, as leaving older sections up can leave parts of your roof open to more issues. By replacing your roof, you can have peace of mind that no pesky leaks are sneaking into your home.

Homeowners insurance typically covers roof repairs or replacement if the damage is caused by a sudden, accidental event or a covered peril, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, or a falling tree. However, insurance will not cover repairs or replacement for issues stemming from a lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, or a roof that is simply old and at the end of its lifespan. If a leak or damage occurs due to neglect, you will likely have to pay for repairs out of pocket.

You can enjoy your TPO roof by making it into a rooftop deck. However, homeowners should use caution when hosting events on the roof. Specifically, no one should ever smoke a cigarette on a TPO roof, as they could burn holes in the roofing material and cause leaks. Also, it can be slippery. Homeowners can buy no-slip walk pads to keep people safe on the roof. You can also install a "floating deck" over the top of the TPO,  but your roofer has to be sure to never put any fasteners through the TPO.

Common problems include loose or missing shingles, leaks, and weather damage. Regular inspections help prevent major repairs.
