"They were through and completed everything in a timely fashion. They kept me informed on what they were doing and on what was needed to remodel my property. I highly recommend them. They could do everything that was needed. In fact I don't think there is anything that they can't do. They were a pleasure to work with."

"I went with Expert Home Builders on a room addition. The big and expensive project and bog responsibility but I'm happy I hired this contractor. David and his team showed up on time and they were great from first day to end of this project. David was knowledgeable, honest and helpful. He informed me about working progress all the time and contacted me immediately if there was something important. His team worked hard, kept working area clean as possible, they were professional, friendly and quick also. The project was finished ahead of schedule and results are excellent. The quality of work is superb, overall experience excellent and price very acceptable. I would highly recommend Expert Home Builders to all people I know!"

"this company was professional in every way, company did a more than excellent job in a timely manner. Company owner even suggested that I apply for city funding for low income. made all repairs, including leak around vent flashing and referred me to air-conditioning and Heating repair person who also did an excellent job and repaired my ducting around Heating system which also saved me money and it has been an excellent job as well. I will be using this company for all of my repair jobs as needed. Owner is an honest person and does not try to make money off of his customers by doing unnecessary repairs. I have referred him to some of my friends who are also looking for an honest and good contractor, they will be using his company as well. Everyone who comes over to see the work that was done loves what company has done and they have taken his business cards for future work."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

If you remove a load-bearing wall to create an entrance to a carport or covered patio, you can expect to pay between $3,200 and $9,500, with an average cost of $6,400. Factors such as the type of addition and if that area needs additional work will add to the price.

For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors.

While it is possible to build a wooden carport yourself, especially if you are skilled in carpentry, professional construction is recommended. Professionals ensure structural integrity, proper anchoring, correct alignment, and the use of quality materials for a stable and durable result.

When building a house, it is customary to use 16d nails that measure 3 1/2 inches in length to construct the frame. These nails are crucial in providing the necessary support and stability for structural elements like joists and studs, which ensures a sturdy framework.

Metal stud framing parts include the studs themselves, upper and lower tracks that act as top and bottom wall plates, various angle fasteners and clips, screws for fastening pieces togeher, metal straps, c-channel supports, and thicker steel supporting structures. Roof framing metal components include pre-fabricated trusses, heavy-gauge stud pieces, and various plates and fasteners.
