"I ordered all our fittings from All Bathroom Gear for our en suite renovation. From the moment I started talking with Build UR Dream Builders , everything fell into place! She was more than helpful - she was patient, thorough, knowledgable and great at keeping in touch. We were delighted with our fittings, and when there was a problem with the shower rail, Build UR Dream Builders got onto the supplier immediately and it was sorted without an issue."

"We hired EA Home Builders to renovate our guest bathroom - and they did a great job for us. The two gentlemen they hired for our job were skilled professionals. They said it would take about a week and it did these guys showed up on time every morning and worked all day (with a half hour break for lunch). And at the end of each day, they meticulously cleaned up the inevitable mess of the day. Without a doubt I would use EA Home Builders again for our next project."

"We cannot say enough great things about JRA Construction! From the very beginning, they were professional, honest, and incredibly easy to work with. As a family-owned business, they truly care about the quality of their work, and it shows in every detail. Our kitchen remodel turned out absolutely amazing—better than we could have imagined! Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to making sure everything was done right made the entire experience stress-free. They kept the work area clean, communicated with us throughout the project, and treated our home as if it were their own. If you’re looking for a trustworthy contractor who takes pride in their work and delivers exceptional results, we highly recommend JRA Construction. Thank you for giving us the kitchen of our dreams. "Gilbert is top tier. It isn't always easy having a stranger up in your home but I would trust him across the board; not only with the quality and pricing of his work, but he's also just a really good human. His work speaks for itself but I'm looking forward to the next project we can bring him back for. He is also incredibly clean!! He's a joy to have at my home and he appreciates a good Brown Sugar Ice Shaken Espresso too."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

Whether it is better to buy or build a chicken coop depends on your priorities, primarily cost versus time and effort. Building your own chicken coop can be significantly more budget-friendly, often costing about half as much as buying a pre-made one. If you have the time and skills, building a coop from scratch is the most economical option. However, if your time or skills are limited, buying a kit and hiring a handyperson to assemble it can be more cost-effective than hiring a carpenter to build a custom coop from scratch. If you want a perfectly constructed coop without sacrificing your own time and energy, buying one is the easiest choice.

You can use a variety of wood to build a barn door, but the most common options include 1-by boards and 2-by boards for the backing and the decorative boards on the front of the door. Softwoods like pine will save you some money and should hold up well, while hardwoods like maple and oak will stand up to more wear and tear. You could also build the backer out of plywood to minimize the cuts you need to make. Whatever you decide on, make sure the width of the wood is compatible with the mounting brackets you buy.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.

Building a treehouse can vary in difficulty depending on factors such as design complexity, size, and the builder’s woodworking experience. Basic treehouses with simple designs can be manageable for DIYers with some carpentry skills, while more elaborate structures may pose challenges. Adequate planning, research, and careful execution can make the process more manageable, and resources like premade plans or professional assistance are always available for additional support.

Ranch and colonial-style homes are often the most affordable to build. They have a common layout with available designs that are easy to adjust in simple ways without having to spend too much on a structural engineer or architect. Both types of homes' symmetry, simple roofs, and often one or two-story plans mean they often fall in the $150 to $200 square-foot range, putting them right around average.
