"CJR is all about quality, they treat you like a real customer. The team is extremely professional, they clean the site daily before leaving for the day. You and your neighbors will not even notice its a site under construction. The quality of work is far and beyond your expectations. "Finding a plumber who is there to solve the issue and not try to redo your whole bathroom is hard to find. Everyone wants to cut and replace but New Era Plumbing took the time to diagnose and fix what was needed. Efficient. Cost effective. Has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to do it in one morning. I feel like lots of plumbers wanted to hedge on what they could deliver, especially since they are turning off your water. I’m very grateful to finally find a skilled professional."

"He was available by phone, and was flexible in scheduling meetings which is great. He was professional, and seemed quite knowledgable. In the end, I didn't use Nato's services because his quote was twice as much as the other contractor I was considering. Perhaps his prices may be more competitive in other services he offers. Either way, working with this company was a pleasant experience."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

To locate an underground downspout, you should start by identifying where the above ground gutter drains. Look for an entry point, such as a pipe or elbow leading into the ground. Follow the surface path for signs like depressions, landscaping disruptions, or wet areas after rain. You can use a metal detector or plumber’s snake to trace the pipe underground. For deeper pipes, a professional locator tool or camera inspection may be necessary. Visual markers or utility maps can also guide the search.

Yes, an excavation company is the best option for land grading and yard leveling. General landscapers might be able to tackle these projects, but an excavation company will do a better job because they’re used to operating the necessary heavy machinery. Landscapers might opt to do the work manually, which takes much longer and could cost you more in labor fees. Finally, excavation companies will understand local regulations and know when you need permits to legalize the work, while a landscaper might not.

The physical constraints of hand-drilling a well limit the depth you can achieve. Manually digging with picks and shovels may only lead to shallow wells of up to 60 feet in depth. To reach greater depths, you need more specialized equipment. The diameter of your well and the tools you’re using will determine how far down you can dig.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

It takes one hour to dig a 10-foot trench by hand. Use a trenching shovel with a sharp tip and a long head. Plan for more time if your soil is heavy or rocky. Consider renting a trencher if you’re digging a long or deep trench or if you have challenging soil or terrain.
