"He made suggestions for prep work since I wanted to do some of the work myself. I followed his instructions then he came in to perform all the difficult work. We had to communicate with my neighbors since part of property is in their backyard, and he was very helpful in dealing with them. We had to lay a trench drain and my neighbors weren't happy. Randy performed in a difficult, emotional situation. I'm going to hire him again for significant concrete work on another portion of my property."

"Basically, they came, and he wasn't really able to do anything for us so it was a waste of money. He just kind of looked around and said, "Hmm... No. We can't do anything." We were leaking in the garage and there are several spots in our house where there are large cracks and we wanted to make sure what was going on, and he didn't do anything. He just kind of, "Well, you could replace all of this stuff and that'll be like $5,000" and I was like "You got to be kidding me." We had somebody else come out, too. I don't feel like he did anything wrong so I didn't want to post a negative post, but there wasn't also like anything positive out of it, and it felt like a giant waste of my money. But again he didn't actually give us any information other than "By the way, you have cracks in the ceiling that I could say like $5,000" which I haven't even asked him about. I think he should have been more communicative. He could've been more helpful, maybe. I didn't want to post a rating on this because it's kind of complex. He did the job, but it was not helpful. I guess, he did fine for price. I think he was on time."

"Working with Green Remodeling and Beyond has been a pleasure One of the first things they said on the phone to me was "We're priced on the high end. If you're picky, you'll be happy with us." And they were right.. They paint only with higher quality paints and puts on several thick coats All of the joints between the wall and ceiling are painted by hand. They clean up the mistakes of previous painters (removing paint that's left on floors, or in hard to reach areas). I saw one worker using a razor blade to carefully scrape the paint off some hinges that the previous painters had sloppily covered with paint. The painters themselves are pleasant but most important, they're careful and take pride in their work. Their 12 ft. ladders didn't scrape the walls in any hallways or staircases of the condo building. What they brought up in the elevator, they kept an eye on to make sure they didn't make a mess. Some people work so hard they make you think you should work harder. Alan's crew will do that to you. He brought a crew of 5, and they completed my condo in TWO DAYS. 1500 sq. ft., 18ft high ceilings in places, 3 bedroom, 3 bath. Two coats. TWO DAYS. Think about that. He estimated the cost of the job on the phone and stuck to his word. The price he quoted is the price we paid. Last but not least, I'm not an artist. I know that I wanted my condo to look nice. They worked with us to select colors but more importantly, to select the placement of colors."

"Nexxus did a fantastic job, in February of 2022, removing sidewalk, concrete stairs and driveway, replacing the houses water supply, forming and placing new concrete, including iron work for a new custom gate and handrail. Tony was the quickest contractor I’ve ever worked with. They were ready to work within a few days of original contact and completed at least a month’s worth of work in one week."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
