If you want to know whether Chris Fults and his awesome crew at SOS Plumbing stand by their work, read this tale. In 2011, I contracted SOS to fix the sewer pipes at my residence in the Hollywood Hills. It is an awkward 110-foot system that was installed in 1959. Major cracks with root incursions. Chris Fults came out and replaced a major tee connection, and lined the entire system. The job came with a lifetime warranty. Fast-forward to July, 2021. The sewer line became clogged, so I called my regular plumber to check it out. He said there was a blockage, likely from roots. He hydro-jetted the line, and it took hours to break through the root ball. Afterwards, the camera showed that the blockage was open only about 1/3, and most of the roots remained. The pipe was draining properly, and though the liner was in perfect condition, it was blocked at the collar where the sewer pipe connected to the ambi, and exited to the city sewer. That section would have to be dug up and replaced. I contacted Chris, explained the issue and sent him the pipe camera video. He scheduled one of his great teams, Efrain and Armando, to repair the connection. They were able to do the job with minimal trenching, and no damage to my plants or sprinkler system. The new collar and ambi are now encased in concrete, to prevent another root incursion. The entire job was done at no charge, in accordance with the terms of the warranty. I can say that my experience with Chris Fults is that his word is his bond. In this case, he proved it without question.

fine...follow up by CM Sanitation District to be sure all went well. SOS had to pull a permit and this was very good "insurance" for a job well done.

When I scheduled the appointment for replacing a Kohler toilet fill valve with a Kohler brand valve, I told them that the toilet was in a very restricted space and that the tank would have to be removed from the base to accomplish this. I was quoted a price of $221. I thought this was a little pricey, because the cost of the fill valve on Kohler's web site is less than $30, but opted to proceed. When the plumber arrived to do the job, he thought that this could be done without removing the tank and was able to do so. I asked for a price reduction because it was a much simpler job than originally planned. The plumber called his manager, who refused to grant a price reduction, saying that they also installed a new hose from the wall to the tank. The hose was no more than a $20 item. This seemed like a big rip off to me.

Al, the technician, arrived promptly at 8 a.m.  I explained what  the issue was and he listened and told me what the possibilities were and what he would need to do in order to rule them out.  He gave me the options and let me make an informed decision without feeling any pressure.  After I had decided to have him test the house for leak she noticed some other things less critical while preparing the test.  Again, there was no pressure to do anything just information as to what he found.  I felt he was being truthful and honest with his assessment of the issues, and I decided to proceed with the repair of the additional items he found  He also gave me an estimate to replace my water heater, which I fully intend to do in the near future.

SOS sent a plumber over who cleared the line of the blockage and identified tree roots as the cause of the current and future problems.  My house lacked an adequate cleanout and had old piping which prevented large enough drain cleaning equipment from removing the roots.  They recommended installing a new cleanout outside or relining.  Since this is the first real issue in years we opted for the cleanout.  They scheduled the installation for the next day.  Despite rain in May, they did the work and when complete, the landscaping looked like they were never there.  We scheduled them to return and replace the toilet seals on a later day.  All their workers were friendly, knowledgeable, polite and did a great job leaving everything clean and nice.  I would recommend them for any plumbing issue.

SOS was good. He was very honest. I'd actually use them again. They gave me a complete report. He told me I didn't need extra things done and I felt he was very honest and reassuring. I need to have them come again. I was very pleased. You can put A's all the way across. It was reasonable.

I Explained most of the events in the above section. I would definitely use them in the future. I had called them several months ago for help with sprinklers in the backyard. The plumber at that time told my son how to repair the sprinkler himself which would save money and never charged. So when I had a leak, I called SOS since they were so helpful.
I definitely would recommend them in the future.
When they office called to schedule the water heater replacement, I said I didn't need it so quickly, as I am still in the midst of getting all the area's back to normal from the bathroom leak. I imagine it will take 4-5 weeks to get everything done. So they were nice and said she would mark it on the request not to call for several weeks.

I was extremely impressed with the service I received from SOS plumbing. I got several estimates for the relining or replacement of our clay sewer line. The first three company's that came out gave me completely different suggestion for how to do the work, the estimates went from $9000 to $21000, and based on the complicated layout they were unwilling to say they could bring in the completed project for the estimate given. Pablo at SOS did a very thorough inspection (including climbing under the house) and was able to explain exactly what needed to be done and gave me a firm price quote (barring something completely unforeseen) for all the work. There was more work than expected, the two day project turned into four, but SOS kept to their word on the price and did an excellent job on the sewer relining. Other than the dim outline of a patch in the concrete patio you wouldn't even have known they were there.

We had a clogged kitchen drain so we called SOS Plumbing.  This was our first time using them, the receptionist that answered the phone was very nice and professional, she was able to schedule an appointment the same day which was a Saturday. The gentleman that came out was a man named Walt.  Walt was on time and very professional.  He unclogged our kitchen drain in no time and even suggested that we put enzymes down the drain so this type of grease clog wouldn't happen again.  The price to unclog the drain was very reasonable and Walt even quoted us on some other work we wanted done which was also very reasonable.  Overall SOS plumbing was very professional and we will use them again in the future.

There was an error in scheduling and the guy who showed up on the day to do the work thought he was just there to do an estimate.  We had taken the day off work so we insisted it had to be done that day.  They accommodated us but because of the delays, they had to rush the job.  Still it appears they did a good job and we have had no problems so far.  The crew were very professional and the owner came out to supervise and make sure things were done right.  The scheduling error is what dropped them to an A-

We are not sure we needed to really install a clean out in the front of our house.  We had already installed one behind the toilet in our downstairs bathroom approximately 5 years ago.  They said they couldn't fit their equipment into our house as it was too large.
However, once they started the job, they were extremely efficient, especially Pablo,  and they worked quickly to complete the job.
So, although they were expensive, they finished the work quickly and professionally.

My wife,Julie watched as Jonathan ran a small snake down the inspection drain outside the laundry. he said that he was able to break up some hardened grease which immediately collapsed in the pipe and clogged it again. So, Jonathan send down a larger snake and broke a larger hole in the grease in the pipe. A couple of more snakings and then, Jonathan asked my wife to run a hot water laundry. She had to do this three times before the grease clog gave way a and the pipe was successfuly flushed. Jonathan recommended pouring bleach down the drains every six months We are very happy with the service and repairswe received. We`will call Trechless again. Because Jonathan had to drive to Garden Grove from Corona, my wife gave him $25 to cover the cost of his gas.

Excellent!  We noticed the leak on Saturday and called SOS plumbing.  We asked if it would be possible to have the leak fixed over the weekend.  SOS plumbing was able to have a repair technician, Pablo, come the same day and provide a through explanation with pictures of the leak and a reasonable estimate.  Pablo asked us to keep the water off, if possible to prevent water damage to the rafters and drywall.  He offered to come back early the next morning (Sunday) to fix the leak and arrived this moring promptly at 8:00 am.  He and Joey were professional, polite, and efficent and had the repair completed in less than an hour.  They gave me the replaced pipe elbow with the pinhole leak.  Overall very impressed with this company and will contact again and refer to others.

We had water gushing out of the water meter outside our house on a Sunday morning. Very few plumbers were willing to work on Sunday. SOS came to the rescue. They were professional and their quote was reasonable.

we called them on feb 17 and they answered right away.  we didn't have to leave a message and wait for a call back.   we told them our issue and they made us an appt. for the next day.  they gave us a two hour window for arrival.  Although they had to push back the arrival time,  they called to let us know.  The plumber arrived well prepared and ready to go to work.  he was here maybe 30 minutes and the situation was resolved.  He gave us tips to keep the back up from happening again.  We had a very good experience and definitely would call again.

I can't say enough good things about this company, from start to finish they were wonderful.  For several years we have had tree roots growing into our sewer line, we have gotten it rotored out from time to time - last year we were told by a large company that we should install an epoxy lining into the sewer pipe to prevent it from collapsing -  that large company estimated about $7,500 to do the work.  We called around to a couple of small plumbers who said they would try to get us estimates but they didn't do that kind of work themselves, etc., and they never got back to us.  In the last year we have had to get the sewer line rotored out twice so clearly it was getting worse, but really didn't want to spend $7,500 and didn't trust a small plumber with no experience to know what to do.

On August 30 the toilets backed up into the tubs again YUCK.  I had just joined Angie's List and we decided to research plumbers there.  My husband called SOS, they came out that same day, right on time, they rotored out the roots, took a video of the sewer line (not just out towards the street but back into the house, to be sure there was nothing in the house causing problems), went over the video in detail with us, presented the options and gave their advice but did not try to hard sell us at all - extremely professional, respectful, knowledgeable, obviously very experienced in this exact thing.  I had thought that we would have to wait a few weeks to be scheduled for the epoxy job but they were able to do it the next day.  They did not just reline the pipes but actually dug up one spot of the yard to get to a damaged part of the pipe which they fixed before they relined it.  In the place where they dug they made a small rectangle, lifted the sod up so carefully, rested the dug out dirt on a tarp so it would not leave a "dirt stain" on the lawn, fixed the pipe, and put the dirt and sod back SOOOO carefully you can hardly see that anything is different with the lawn.  Through it all all 3 people we worked with were prompt, very nice, informative, extremely helpful - they explained everything in detail, kept us informed, really the whole thing was very painless.  The total cost was extremely reasonable considering they discovered that our sewer line, rather than going straight, takes a bend at some point, which added more length to the sewer line than they had anticipated - and the cost was about 20% less than the large company had estimated.  Included in the service is 5 years of cleaning out the line if it ever gets clogged with excess toilet paper or whatever in the future (extremely unlikely since it is now lined with epoxy.)  The epoxy lining is good for 50 years, a huge relief.

We would highly recommend this company, we have owned our house for almost 25 years and have endured lots of plumbing problems, including a slab leak - this is the best plumber we have ever worked with and I wish we had used them for all our jobs.
