"Excellent! Mr. Pulu provided timely work at a fair price. His crew came in and went to work. They left the job site clean and hazzard free. I always get compliments on the workmanship he provided. Mr. Pulu is an artist with his stone and concrete work. I always recommend him for any concrete work desired."

"I have a spray-foam roof and I have used this company before. They are not the cheapest but they offer quality work and leave the place really tidy. This time I needed to have three skylights installed and was having a devil of a time finding reasonable quotes. I knew I'd have to have them out after to fix any roofing issues so I spoke with them early on. The owner, Ed, came out himself and suggested they do the whole job, roof sealing AND installation. I jumped at the chance and they did the job today. I couldn't have asked for more. The employees were really nice and professional, did a great job, and left the place immaculate. I'm thrilled!!!"

"They did an amazing job! The driveway came out amazing as well as the process was easy and non disruptive. They were very nice and easy to work with with and the final product came out outstanding. Definitely would recommend for any future projects similar to mine. The turf in the front yard as well came out wonderful. There were no folds in at all and it looks very natural and elegant. Thank you guys very much for the work."

"I had just purchased a new town home in Santa Fe Springs that came with a plain concrete slab in my rear yard entertaining area. I wasn't happy with the look and decided to give Martin from Pacificland Constructors a call since he had done work on other rental properties I own.

I told Martin that I wanted a new stamped concrete patio slab for my rear patio area. For our initial estimate meeting Martin came with several brochures from the different concrete colors available and stamp patterns for me to keep and help with my decision making. He explained the whole construction process. I felt very comfortable with Martin due to his honesty, professionalism, and his design help.

I decided to move forward with the job and it came out great. His crew was done in three days (Day 1 - demo, Day 2 - concrete pour, Day 3 - clean up and sealer). I am very happy with his work and the area gave my BBQ grilling area more character. Definitely will be spending my most of my summer back here."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
