"I just had two big jobs done on my home. One, was painting the entire exterior of the house and the other was to clean up, sand and stain a beautiful staircase that was installed in the house many years ago, but never finished. I am extremely happy with the work John, Casey and their team did on my home. John was great with communicating and following up with me. Always making sure, the job was going as planned and made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns at all. John really provided top notch customer service. I love the fact, that Casey and his team, ALWAYS arrived on time, as scheduled and they were very easy to talk to and work with. They were very efficient and did a great job on both of the projects, all within the time frame that was set. And also, in getting other estimates for these jobs, CertaPro by far offered the best pricing ! I have some more projects to do in the home and without a doubt, I will be having CertaPro take care of them ! =-)"

"The wood had been re-stained less than a year ago by a painter who did not properly treat the wood and the siding had suffered some water damage.  The folks from J&B did a very good job with what they had to work with, and when we expressed some displeasure at how the wood looked, they did additional work, sanding and prepping and re-stainng in an effort to make us happy.  I'd use them again.

"We had the exterior of our house and garage painted recently. John, Tony and the job supervisor, Angel, were all professional, punctual and attentive to our wants. The job was projected to take about 4 -5 days and that's exactly what it took. The results are wonderful - we couldn't be happier. We had already known going in what our color scheme would be but a fresh coat always brings new life to the house. If we ever have future painting needs we'll definitely reach out again to John and his crew."
Staining or painting kitchen cabinets can give your kitchen a brand new look without the cost of replacing the cabinets.
Stripes are popular and can be done in many different colors. Pink is just the right color for this little girl's nursery.
Painting the risers, banisters, and handrails on a stairway cn really make the difference in something that is often overlooked.
This modern home looks spectacular with the grey base color and stark white, contrasting the blue tinted windows.
This newer home makes great use of a popular earth tone color scheme, allowing the architectural features to stand on their own.

"Great company they painted the full exterior of my two story home in Stevenson Ranch my only regret is that I would have found them prior to another company painting the interior. Great results, timely, professional and great communication skills from Ed and his father. The painting crew was always on time and never left a mess. Iâ m super pick and they left a good impression."

"Our house is small, but our roofing job was a big one -- it didn't just need to be completely re-shingled, but we needed a whole new roof deck. It was a project that was looking like it might take months, but Reliable Roofing figured out the best approach and it only took 2 weeks. A big thanks goes to Artin, our sales person and project manager who kept tabs on the job the whole time, and made sure we were happy with the outcome. The end result is fantastic -- even our inspector was impressed with the work!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.

Yes, staining or sealing a cedar deck or fence is highly recommended to extend its lifespan, typically by five to 10 years. While cedar is naturally resistant to mold and mildew, it can still fall victim to moisture, sun exposure, and rot over time. Applying a treatment creates a protective shield that helps prevent splintering, fading, and decay, preserving the wood's strength and appearance. A combination stain and sealer often provides the best protection, as it soaks into the wood grain rather than just sitting on top. This offers superior defense against UV damage and rot and lasts longer than a sealer alone. To maintain the wood's natural look, consider using a near-translucent stain. You should plan to reapply the stain or sealer every two to three years.

If you don’t treat a cedar fence, it will turn from reddish brown to gray over time. You can keep the cedar from graying and retain its attractive, deep red color by sealing your cedar fence with a stain that keeps the wood’s oils in and serves as a barrier against the sun’s UV rays.

Unless you’re using a 2-in-1 formula or painting over an existing coat of paint, it pays to apply a coat of primer ahead of your new paint. Decks see a lot of footfall and exposure to extreme and sudden temperature changes and moisture levels. The primer promotes better paint adhesion, moisture repellency, and a smoother finish, which means you’ll often need fewer coats of paint.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.
