"Super happy with LA Reglazing! They reglazed our old bathtub and made it look brand new. The job was done quickly, and the quality is top-notch — no weird smells or streaks, just a super clean, glossy finish. Customer service was also great they explained the process, gave a fair quote, and were on time. Definitely exceeded expectations."

"Very professional and also personable. Came out and replaced the water heater (which started leaking Thanksgiving night) promptly. Convinced me that it is necessary to drain the first 5 gallons or so every year to ensure there's no build up of sediment inside which contributes to the tank failure. They are very knowledgable about all kinds of plumbing projects, and I recommend them."

"Ory, at Universal Home Design, is a professional and extraordinary contractor.  He was referred to me by a good friend.  From the first call to the completion of the project, we felt confident and trusting of Ory and his crew.

At first, I reached out to inquire about fixing water damage from an ongoing leak from the third floor down to the basement.  Ory said he could come by that same day, then gave me a time and showed up within minutes of the appointment.

He was very friendly and patient as he sat down and took his time to get to know me, my in-laws (it was their house) and, my husband, answering all the questions we had and making sure everyone was on the same page.

As he began to investigate the root of the problem, he walked us around the area, explaining his findings and the ways to fix it.
The original plan was to replace the shower, but as our family felt more confident with Ory, we decided to remodel the entire bathroom.
This was exciting yet nerve-wracking for my retired in-laws but Ory went beyond his call of duty and treated them like friends, walking us through the entire process.  He made things easy, bringing samples for us to choose from and giving clear, direct instructions on the items we needed to order.  When we went to the tile store, he came along and gently guided us.  He never pushed a product or style and was very good at listening, and communicating his ideas, suggestions, advice and concerns.

The crew, at Universal Home Design, were on time every day on the job.  They were courteous and hard working and always cleaned up after themselves. Ory always introduced every crewmember so we knew their names and who was coming through the house.

Throughout the remodel, he kept me on track with the fixtures and timeline I needed to order them.  He was thorough, always making sure I have the info and specs I needed for the research to make my selection.
When things were installed, Ory would check in to see if we were happy and he always prefaced with, "if you're not happy, I have no problem taking it out and doing it again."  He would never make you feel guilty or bad about anything.  Actually, when our bathtub was installed, we realized it was too small so he took it out, ordered and paid for a new one and took the loss on the return.

When I went out of town, leaving my retired parents with Ory in the middle of the project, he texted and called periodically to give me updates and sent pictures of the progress.  My parents had no issues or concerns throughout the entire process.  I think Ory probably sets the record for the most responsive and communicative contractor in the world - for real!

I can not say enough great things about Ory.  The bathroom looks amazing and my parents are really enjoying it.  The quality and workmanship are superb and we are very pleased, especially my parents who get to enjoy it.

I highly recommend Ory and his team but with reservation because I'd rather keep Universal Home Design all to ourselves!

"We got our kitchen fully renovated and I wanted to sit on this review for a month before sharing. While my husband and I are super pleased with how our kitchen turned out, we found parts of the communication process to be lacking and honestly didn't feel like we were a big priority for their team. There were small inconsistencies in what was communicated prior to the project start versus during (ex. design turnaround time, availability to work on weekends, not being clear on when items needed to be ordered and then asked when said items were being delivered, etc). Our kitchen finished on schedule but I didn't feel they tried to get it done sooner although there were opportunities to do so. The team was friendly and communication was fine when I reached out but I expected more from their team when they had advertised as providing white-glove service and that was a big reason as to why we chose them."

"David, at CA Cabinets was great, he and his installers showed on time, they were carful to be neat and clean up after the job was done. "I had a somewhat unusual project. I was in the process of renting out my condo when I found out that I needed to redo the bathroom tiles in both shower and bathtub surround, two weeks before my tenant was to move in. When I interviewed various contractors, Gino impressed me with his detailed cost estimate, trying to capture potential additional costs to give me a realistic picture of the overall cost. He was very quick in sending the proposal and, given that a speedy project completion was one of my goals, I hired him. Gino did not disappoint. Any aspect of the project that he controlled was scheduled in a timely manner. The aspects that he did not control, such as the scheduling of city inspections, he managed to speed up by contacting the inspector to move up the inspection date, making sure that any items the inspector mentioned on his first visit (installation of smoke detectors, which were not part of the project, proper types of outlets) were done and checked by the second inspection so as not to drag on the final inspection. None of the inspections had any problems. Gino and his crews were also very careful with protecting of floors, carpets and cabinets, and he was making sure that everything was done to his high standards. The job site was somewhat difficult to navigate since my tenant had just moved in and there were many boxes. There was only one aspect I was not completely happy with, the finishing of the window installation that is in between the shower and bathtub. I wish there would have been more discussion on how the second side would be dealt with. A solution was found, but a better solution could have been created if Gino would have seen the window area after the install and if time was not so much of the essence. Overall, Gino is a responsive contractor who does quality work in a timely manner."
