"After talking with several attic clean out and insulation, wall insulation companies, I decided to go with Marathon Insulation. Johnathan was very helpful and professional, gave the best choices for my issues, without trying to upsell like some of the others. After getting the attic and walls insulated (with attic clean out) I can already feel the heat stay in the rooms much longer and the walls much less cold to the touch before. I highly recommend Marathon Insulation! They were always on time, delivered as promised, and cleaned up after."

"Richard MicKinnon came to my house for an estimate soon after I requested he take a look at my mother's old house near Downtown LA. He was very experienced in his accessment and gave me a written estimate on company stationery. He was nice enough to call me on his cell phone that he would be delayed which I thought was highly thoughtful and considerate.
He was honest about telling me the soonest he could do the job was 3 weeks.
I had other estimates from other people but Richard seemed very professional and worth waiting for.
The day we scheduled the work, his worker, Reyes showed up about 6:45a.m. 15 minutes before the scheduled time. He waited patiently in his truck gulping down breakfast and waited until I came out to let him know I was ready for him to start work.
He was polite and hard working and rarely took a break. Demolition is physically demanding and he and his worker toiled for hours in the summer indoor heat until all the old plaster and lath was torn out, cleaned and swept up and taken outside.
After the ceiling was torn out, they could see one of the joists needed repair and called their boss. They agreed to buy lumber and reinforce those supports and showed me all along what their intentions were.
They insulated the walls with R13, brought in panels of dry wall, cut them to size, taped the seams and applied a smooth coat of plaster over them. All the entry ways to the living and kitchen were sealed up with plastic so the dust and debris would not enter these rooms. They wore proper masks and rolled out paper on the floor so as not to dirty the floor entry way from the front door enroute to the room they worked on.
At the end of the job, Reyes showed me the room to meet my approval asked me if I thought everything was in order, I replied it was and I thanked them.
This is a fine company, ethical and well run. Richard, the owner is very personable and genuinely cares about the needs of his customers. I would recommend them to anyone needing dry wall.

"The professionalism and quality that the Insulation Labs team demonstrated from beginning to end should serve as a Master Class for any other service oriented company. Scheduling the estimate was effortless with clear, helpful and efficient communication from Diana, their first line of contact. Abraham arrived to do the estimate visit with kind patience and knowledge. He took the time to help us figure out how best to approach the insulation and was more than willing to answer all of our many questions. When we received the estimate we were appreciative of how easy it was to read and understand what the plan was. We knew exactly what to expect and how much it would cost. Today was the day of the insulation. Chris, Tzoc, and Moises spent a long full day doing the entire job. Throughout they were kind, professional, and did an outstanding, neat job. At all times, they cared for our space as if it were their's. We are so glad we chose Insulation Lab. There is no question we would recommend them to anybody."

"I hired Attic Masters to do an energy efficiency job at my house. The job included work in the attic, crawlspaces and major insulation at the garage. I’m happy with the overall service that I got from Adam and his company Attic Masters. The first consultation meeting was very productive and honest than the other companies that I met. I felt very secure with Adam's knowledge and the quality of his initial assessment. The overall work got increased as i decided that I wanted to do more work than originally planned. All the people that worked at my house (total of 3) were cooperative and the project rolled out easily. Adam did a wonderful amount of research about some things that were not usual. I wanted new insulation, new walls and more efficiency. After all the research that Adam did and the consultation he provided me with, we moved forward with the agreed upon plan and it was executed well. Adam and his team were willing to come over as needed for small finishing touches, questions, and more... He definitely went above and beyond on multiple occasions."

"We hired ZVN Drywall to transform the walls in our new home. The existing walls were orange peel texture with a glossy paint finish. They came in and skim coated the walls to be the perfect smooth finish I was envisioning. They also painted our living room walls and ceiling as they are high and hard to reach. I can't find a single imperfection in the walls. We are absolutely blown away. They protected our floors, windows, counters, door handles, etc and everything was left in clean condition. On top of their excellent work, they are also very responsive and will not leave you hanging like many contractors out there. I highly recommend ZVN Drywall and will be hiring them for my next project."

On average, drywall installation costs $2,000, depending on the size, complexity, accessibility, and location of the job. The typical cost range is from about $400 to $6,000, which includes materials and labor. Additional cost factors include the thickness of the drywall, the shape and height of the room, and the level of finish. The level of finish ranges from only hanging the drywall to taping and mudding the seams between panels to painting the walls.
The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.
If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.
The cost to skim coat drywall is $1.15 to $1.35 per square foot. Most of the cost is labor, for the necessary skills to apply the skim coat with precision using high-quality tools. This is a job better left to the professionals for the best outcomes.
On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections. Types of insulation include:
Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot
Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot
Batt: $2–$4 per square foot
Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot
Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot
Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
