"Outstanding. I’ll start with just saying that Method Paving is an outstanding contractor. Owner Rick PESTANA met with me to discuss the project. He was very thorough in his questions about my desires and expectations for the project, allowing him to prepare a detailed proposal for the job. His cost was reasonable — not the cheapest or most expensive but he was detailed in exactly what his team would be doing for each phase of the project. He worked with me on paver selection and design. In the end, the job went exactly as planned and the workmanship is outstanding. The job was scheduled for 9 days and completed on schedule. Rick stopped by every day to review progress and discuss any concerns I might have. There were no changes to the contract, which is a sign that Rick and the team really do know their jobs. The new pavers look beautiful. 5 stars to this contractor. I would recommend Method Paving for another job without hesitation."

"Having estimate done by Bruce eased much of my concerns. His assurance that the deck was still very solid alleviated worries about major repair and/or replacement costs. He said that the deck was in desperate need of serious cleaning though, and we should schedule regular maintenance in the future to keep the deck in good shape.  He also gave good tips about how-to and how-not-to keep plants on the deck.
The work went quickly and without any issues. It took 2 days: 1 day of cleaning and 1 day to stain. The only glitch was the work had to be pushed back a day because of staffing problems, but other than that the work went as scheduled. The workers were courteous and efficient.
What really sold me is that the workers stained the deck using paintbrushes.  I was really anxious they would use a sprayer and spray noxious stuff in the air but they didn't. They climbed up the pergola and painted each board by hand. I was impressed and very satisfied with the quality of work too.
We had scheduled work in the front yard around the same time Cal Preserving finished up the deck in back. The landscaper had seen the patio deck before and told me he thought we should get rid of it because it was beyond salvaging.  Was he surprised when I showed him the deck after Cal Preserving did their work! He was so impressed he asked me for their business card."

We had very specific problems we needed addressed, flooding in the back yard, we are on a very busy corner so we wanted protection against drivers ending up in our bedroom, privacy in our front bedroom, we have a telephone pole in our back yard, a pool we want to feel private even though we live across from the high school, and three kids who need space. They designed a stunning front and back yard that addressed all our issues. Even took into account our location at the high school and added boulders for kids to wait on so they wouldn't trample my yard! I love succulents and California natives so those were used throughout. A rotation of plants were utilized as well so even in the winter we have nice colors through our yard. They are a joy to work with and skilled in their craft. Their attention to detail and practical knowledge yields amazing results that you can enjoy for years."

He also did an interlocking paver patio. He was fast efficient and his estimate was well on point compared to others who are charging outrageous prices. "Rocco and team completely renovated our backyard, replacing a couple of old, cracked, concrete slabs and some dirt/grass with a paver patio, seating walls, artificial turf, a pergola, and spotlights. Rocco was excellent to work with. He was very clear in his communication about schedule, materials, etc and helped tremendously in the design of the project. The only issue we had was discovered after the project had been complete for a few months, when the rains returned. The drainage outlet was too close in elevation to the patio drains, and water was pooling on the patio. A quick call with Rocco got that fixed quickly. The true test of a company doesn't happen when things go perfectly. It happens when things don't go perfectly and how they respond. Black Diamond aced this test."
