Tyler and Vicki were outstanding to work with over the course of our backyard transformation. Collaborating closely, we designed our ideal space and they were helpful in every step of that process. We hired Hallmark Fine Gardens for a major landscaping project involving extensive stonework, grading, irrigation, and lighting in both our front and back yards. After evaluating several contractors, we chose Hallmark Fine Gardens for their experience, track record, and competitive pricing. Now that the project is complete, we're very happy with our choice. Tyler and his team were professional, diligent, and efficient, requiring minimal oversight and making necessary adjustments along the way. Tyler kept us informed on major decisions. Tyler communicated very well via email, text or in person and provided detailed breakdown of everything we were doing. Hallmark Fine Gardens was chosen because they are local to my house and I had seen several of their jobs.? I met with Tyler to review my landscape design and he was very responsive to providing a quote and suggesting several options to save money or have a better appearance.? The work started promptly and they kept the work place as accessible as possible.? There were a few things that I did not specify in the quote that needed to be added later.? The pricing for similar added jobs was inconsistent, but we quickly came to agreement with it.? From there the job proceeded quickly as possible, some delays due the delivery of material.? The crew was great, they planned the jobs well and executed them with quality.? If I noticed and issues they quickly fixed them.? Now the plants have had time to get established the whole job came out excellent.? I get many compliments from the neighbors.

17 days from first initial contact, miscommunications, no shows.. Owner was very apologetic and offered 20% discount after his employee never showed up on time for our appt. and I had to go back to work. I really wanted to use their services but too much of my time wasted.

Tyler and his team were fantastic to work with. Tyler listened to what we wanted to do and did exactly what we asked. His team was always here on time and did great work. They accommodated additions to the contract as we thought of more changes that we wanted in the yard. We love our new yard! We will definitely use Hallmark Fine Gardens for any future landscaping projects and would recommend them to anyone.

Overall very happy with the work and the experience. Would recommend to a friend. The owner, Tyler Stavros, was my point of contact. He visited the site and worked with me on a quote, including scoping down the work to fit my budget. He was not the cheapest of two bids, but he kept it reasonably competitive. He is very responsive to email communication. The crew arrived as scheduled and finished the work as scheduled. Quality of work is very high with good attention to detail. Work site was kept clean.

Until we met Tyler, we experienced nothing but frustration when it came to hiring and working with landscaping companies. We'd worked with two companies prior, but in both cases we had a hard time getting them to respond to us, or to follow through on what they'd promised to do (i.e. provide estimates, replace dead plants, repair leaks in the irrigation hose that they caused, etc.). That all changed when we contacted Tyler. He responded immediately to each and every one of my emails and calls, and when my request required an on-site visit, he would show up promptly and on time. We got a couple estimates to redo our front yard and interestingly both came back within $50 of each other. We ended up hiring Hallmark Fine Gardens because of Tyler's professionalism, and because I was confident that the job would be done quickly and at a high quality. I was not disappointed. Tyler's crew came in and transformed our yard into something we can be proud of. It's nothing fancy (though based on the photos on his website he does that too), but it's exactly what we wanted and seems like it will grow in nicely. We were so pleased at the ease of working with Tyler that we have decided to hire them for maintenance services for the backyard. I am confident that Tyler's crew will get it back to its former glory, without me having to constantly monitor their work.

I needed to have the drainage fixed around our property, which required removing and replacing the landscaping. I contacted Tyler Stavros for an estimate. He was very professional and offered many ideas on how best to proceed. We have not yet done the work, but I was impressed by Tyler's promptness and prefessionalism.

We were very happy with the work that Tyler and his crew did. We bought this house at the beginning of 2012 and it has needed a fair amount of work, so we have had to pace our projects and are pretty price sensitive. Last year was new kitchen and floors, and this year was the front yard. Tyler gave one of two proposals that we received for the work; while his quote was approximately the same as the competing proposal, we decided to go with Hallmark because of the extra attention he gave us in the initial visits to understand our requirements and constraints. We wanted a very low maintenance and low water front yard, and Tyler helped us do that within our budget constraints. The whole project took a little over two weeks, and the work was done professionally and on time. After the project was completed, deer ate two of our "deer-resistant" plants (hydrangea), and Tyler replaced them with alternative plants within a day. When I asked him how much the replacements would cost , he said there would be no charge.

I really liked Tyler, and after several emails, he suggested that I work with a designer instead, since there’s a lot to be done. He was very easy to talk to and seemed to be extremely caring.

The quality of work was very good. The service was fine. They did it fairly quickly. Their price was right in line with others.

The person can just about 5-10 minutes late, but once he arrived, he gave very good advice regarding what to do with the large backyard. He gave estimates of cost on possible scenarios. My clients ended up not making an offer on the house, but if I have any future clients looking for a major landscaping company, I would refer them to Hallmark.

Tyler and his crew did a wonderful job of turning our unkempt yard into something really beautiful. He worked hard to earn our business in a very competitive bidding situation and showed that he had a very good understanding of our project from the first time we met. That went a long way towards earning my trust. Tyler is also an excellent communicator. He is very quick to respond to e-mails and phone calls, so I always felt like I was in the loop about what was going on and I knew that my questions would be answered promptly and professionally. Once the work was underway, his crew was timely, dedicated, and diligent. The original estimate for completion of the work was 3 weeks. The total job ended up taking 6 weeks due in large part to the work it took to complete the retaing wall we had installed. It is made out of Napa rock, so it was like a puzzle and took a lot of skill and time to do right. Given the end results of the project, the extra time it took was well worth it. Overall, I had a great experience with Hallmark Fine Gardens. They turned my yard into something I am really happy to come home to!

They did an excellent job with the escavation and retaining wall. The deck ended up not being easily removable although it is movable with a crew. Tyler was very responsive and I would use him again. He isn't strong on the engineering or design work but is very reliable and responsive. I felt the price was reasonable for the work performed.

Tyler provided me with a schedule projecting the job to take two weeks to complete. They finished in exactly the two weeks. The weather cooperated with us. The job looks great! Tyler and his crew were very easy to deal with.

Tyler is a professional and a perfectionist. He is punctual, responsive (usually within 24 hours by email or phone), detailed with his quote/contract, and takes pride in his work. He has his crew, but he?s constantly over (almost every hour) to supervise. There were times when he would make his workers re-do things (sacrifice time) just to make sure its done right.

It took about one week to complete the work. I was at home on leave so I was able to observe what happened. Tyler's crew was good and paid attention to detail. They made an effort to clean up at the end of each day. Tyler had no problem with extra's like installing a second drainage pipe when I thought one was not enough and regrading and area after work was completed. His crew also cleaned up parts of the yard and some dead plants that were not part of the quoted work. We are very happy with the results and hopefully the before and after pictures will give people a good idea of what was done.

He did a sketch and said he would email me information and prices. He never did. I called and left a message, and never got a response. **UPDATE**: He called me back in response to this report. As it turns out, he had an incorrect email address. Our communication never connected.
