"Jay's Small Moves was punctual and arrived right on time at 8am, which I was extremely surprised about especially since it was a Saturday. I was worried about the items that couldn't be put in a box (i.e. large lamps, computer tower, bathroom mats, etc.), but they have large "speed-pak" boxes where they carefully pack the "loose" items in. The team had lots of blankets (for the TV, mirrors, etc.) and shrink wrap (for desks, futon, sofa, etc.). We didn't have our bed disassembled before they arrived, but not to worry because one of the movers did it for us. They have the tools and they are very well experienced because one person disassembled the bed within 10-15 minutes. Needless to say I was impressed. Packing took around a little over a hour and a half and getting to the house took around another half hour. Upon arrival at the house, the team was quick to unload, but also extremely careful about not scratching the walls or leaving any scuff marks on the wood floor. The bed frame was reassembled within 10 minutes (*mind blown*) and they finished unloading within 45 minutes or so. While unloading, they were very attentive to where boxes need to go (boxes labeled kitchen went to the kitchen, etc.). All in all, my wife and I were very surprised at the efficiency and professionalism of the workers. While they are priced $10/hr higher than other movers, I would gladly pay the additional money for the level of service. **As a side note, we provided 3 cold bottles of water for the team - I think this goes a long way!"

"Overall, my experience was very good. The person who helped me with my quote was responsive and personable. We did have some communication issues regarding some of the items we wanted moved. We crews that helped us with the physical move worked very hard and provided solutions when issues came up. The single recommendation I could provide to anyone is be 100% sure everything you want to move is on the digital inventory at least 5 days before moving day. The day of the move, I found things were missing on the digital inventory even though we talked about it."

"I promised Erica to give her a great review, because she gave me good service and she has great listening skills. Looking back at the movers in hindsight, they were 1.5 hours late, they encouraged me to relax, take care of my back, don’t tire myself and let them do the work. If I’d done that I would have been way longer than the 3.5 hours it took to get everything done. I worked just as hard as them and they turned their noses up at the tip I gave them. One reason why I started doing other things and taking stuff to the truck is because I realized they were going too slow for the 2 hours we were supposed to be working under. I ended up paying way more than the estimate when they were way past the 2pm start time, was that a hustle? Plus by the time we got to my complex, the area to unload was closed and we had to unload a more difficult way. The tip, while highly and over emphasized, is a SUGGESTED tip. Stretching out the moving time is a bad strategy for big tips, being 1.5 hours late doesn’t help either. One of the drivers’ names was Ishmael, he bitched the loudest and I talked to him the most during the move. Shop around guys and don’t get sucked in by a good deal that may be too good to be true. The crazy part is, if I had paid the price they (movers) wanted, they wouldn’t have gotten a tip, period. I hate ungrateful people, especially when we were laughing and talking all day until I gave them the tip, now I wish I had just kept my $40."
