"In my opinion he could have done a better neater job. He didn't advise me in the contract that he was going to take the newly replaced and painted baseboards or door. He told me after I signed the contract the day he started to work. He took the door off and leaned it up against a newly painted wall. He damaged the baseboards, damaged the wall while removing baseboards, damaged door, frame and jam when he tried to rehang the door. The leftover mix was dumped down my sink drain and ran down cabinet and dish washer. I expected a Professional to be upfront and respectful of my property. The possible damage to my drain pipe, clogging and environment from the chemicals. When I was able to walk on the floor and saw the damage I was shocked. I almost collapsed. I was sick for two days. I spoke to Alex with Angi and he laughed and said you'll have to fix it. Apparently you idea of a Professional andine are not the same. The damage he did shouldn't have happened."

You can expect it to take three to four days to fully install a kitchen backsplash—most of the time, waiting for the mortar and grout to dry. The actual process of putting up tiles is relatively quick. You’ll spend a fair amount of time laying out the tiles, ensuring they’re perfectly aligned. Also, if you have to remove the current backsplash, that will also add time to your project.

Porcelain is a relatively affordable, mid-range countertop. It’s less expensive than other popular materials, including quartz, slate, concrete, and marble. On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

Add a T-shaped spacer to each corner of a tile when placing it. You’ll want to nudge the tiles closer together so the spacers are touching each corner. When you’re done installing your tile, you can remove each spacer, wash them, and use them for your next project.
