"I had a large branch from a tree in my yard resting on my Garage roof. Roper Tree Surgeon and Landscaping arrived at our scheduled time and the crew went right to work. They cut the tree off the roof as well as cut the tree down to the ground so the whole tree is gone. They cleaned my backyard and the roof of all the branches they cut. All the employees were extremely polite and respectful of my property. They did an excellent job. I will definetly use their services again in the future ."

"The response was very fast called them Friday and the were here Sat morning... very happy. The gentlemen showed up on time as promised ...another big big PLUS!!!. For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.

Before you cut down a dead palm tree, try to revive it using the methods listed above. However, there are instances when it makes sense to remove a dead palm tree, including:

  • The heavily infected tree will infect nearby trees, bushes, and plants.

  • The palm’s roots are overtaking your yard, foundation, and sidewalk and causing structural damage.
