This was not our first-time using Vargas. The guys who did the work were fantastic and went beyond what was expected. Up to date with their equipment (and then some!), protection of the surroundings and grass... and so much more!! They are easy to work with and their work is SUPER!! You won't be disappointed.

Vargas Tree Service did a great job! During the estimate process, Esteban came to see our tree. He was prompt and courteous. He was very knowledgeable regarding tree care and the estimate was reasonable. They were very busy and he worked hard to find a time to fit the job in before the season got too far along, as I called in January before the trees start blooming. The crew arrived on time and were very careful. Gilbert was onsite and walked me through all they needed to do and followed up when done to show what future care should entail. Excellent job, great people!

I had seven tree service companies give me proposals to remove my giant 35 year old Brazilian Pepper Tree. The tree was located very close to a block wall which I did not want damaged. Also there were cable wires above close to the tree which was a concern. The roots were massive and growing everywhere. I spoke with Esteban Vargas who assured me they could handle this without damaging any property. What impressed me was he actually listened to what I wanted done instead of interrupting me and telling me what he would do. The tree roots were a major problem and needed to be removed. I have plans to put other trees in that area of my yard. He guaranteed me that they could handle the job. The crew of four men each worked 8 hours that day and did an amazing job. I was so impressed. They spent 3 1/2 hours grinding and removing roots after removing the tree. I was so pleased with this company and how they did everything that I asked them to do. Clean up was amazing. I am a long time customer of Vargas Tree Service because they provide excellent advice, professional quality work, and genuinely love their work. As arborists they are interested in aesthetics and the health of our urban tree population, and they work with all of the safety guidelines in place. They are not the least expensive, but that is because they do not cut corners, do not try to talk you into something that you don't need, and provide quality care at every step in the process. The longevity of employment among their climbers/pruners and support staff and that fact that this is a family owed business employing three sons and their respective crews demonstrates that the business ethos applies to both the customer and the employees. I have worked with many tree services in the past; this is my tree service company for the last five years fr now and for the future.

The truck from Vargas showed up on time. The men who did the work were very professional. They worked quickly and efficiently, offered to remove some overhanging branches, and cleaned up. Also, important in these times, they were masked and practiced social distancing. I would absolutely use Vargas again if the need arises.

Gilbert arrived on time to provide a quote. During the quoting process, Gilbert provided great advice on what should and should not be done. Scheduled the job and the Vargas crew arrived on time and completed the work as agreed upon. Very good communication throughout the entire process.

Excellent service! Vargas Tree Service is a full-service, licensed, bonded, and insured contractor. Their crew showed up on-time (early, actually!), worked steadily and safely until they completed the job. When our schedule changed unexpectedly on short notice, they even took a call on a Sunday evening and moved up our appointment by five days to meet our new deadline. They started by protecting our home and the neighbor’s to ensure that no falling debris would cause damage to the windows or finishes as the tree was taken down. At the last minute, after again going over options with them, we changed our mind and decided to remove the tree rather than trim it. They made the adjustment immediately, bringing in the additional equipment necessary to grind down the stump and roots and leave us with a well-groomed space ready for landscaping. With the recent high winds, the tree had dropped leaves and small branches on the neighbor’s roof, and they removed those as well. Before leaving for the day they thoroughly cleaned the entire area. My wife gave them her highest praise for clean-up: ”You would never know they had been here!”—something I rarely hear from her after a contractor leaves. The tree we had removed was a large one located in a relatively narrow space between our home and the neighbor’s. Removing it required both the right equipment and a skilled crew, and the Vargas Tree Service delivered on both counts. They were courteous, clearly explained their plans, graciously accommodated the changes we needed to make, and their pricing was very fair—in the mid-range of the licensed, bonded, and insured contractor bids we received. We give them 5-stars on all counts and recommend them highly to anyone in the area that has trees that need attention. They understand trees and how to care for them and give outstanding customer service—you won’t be disappointed!

I can't say enough good things about Vargas Tree Service. Esteban, one of the family owners, came out quickly to give a bid, which was fair and similar to other bids we had received. On the day of service the crew was on time and prepared with all the right equipment. They covered areas that might be hurt by falling or scraping limbs, including the whole side of our house. Estaban was gracious with our neighbors explaining what they would be doing, and also made sure their yards were spotless after the job. He also offered us good advice on what could be planted in our yard and how to care for some of our plants. We have used a few companies over the years, but Vargas was by far the best ever. The trees look great! I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

I had more than a dozen trees trimmed back by Vargas Tree Service. It was a very smooth process. Met with Jerry for a quote, and was able to get scheduled within in a week. They were able to take care of all the trees on the property in a day. They are very efficient and careful with the work they do, setting down plywood where needed to protect the ground or exterior walls if close to the home. I’d definitely recommend them, all the trees look so much better now!

Amazingly well. They arrived on time and immediately went to work - moving some lawn furniture, spreading a large canvas for the palm tree removal, etc. They used tools that I had not seen before to simplify their work. Before leaving, all areas were cleared of debris including the faux grass. They are the "real pros" and it is worth every cent I paid.

Gilberto explained what his crew would do: cover my deck with tarps, cover landscape lighting, move existing potted plants and furniture, protect other plants with plywood, and details about how the trimming would be conducted. They showed up right on time and were very professional about the work. The cleanup was above my expectations: EXCELLENT!

Gilbert showed up on time and had already noticed certain problems with trees in our front yard. He demonstrated some of his concerns and told me what kind of products could help me take care of our problems. He also advised me and several trees in the backyard. I was very pleased that he offered both organic and chemical solutions. It was obvious we had several trees that needed to be removed however he did not push his company's services in this area. I was very impressed with his observations and professionalism.

Vargas Tree Service did an excellent job in removing our two dying/dead Birch trees. We had a situation where the trees were between a brick wall and a small brick planter wall. They removed the trees without damaging either walls. They removed the cuttings and stumps and left the area clean. The two man crew were great, pleasant and friendly and worked hard. Definitely would hire again.

Gilbert came out to see the job on short notice, gave me a fair price, and scheduled the work for the next week. His crew came on time, did an excellent job, and even repaired an irrigation line that was damaged by the tree roots at no extra charge. Cleanup was excellent and tenants happy too! I am a property manager and I'll use Vargas tree service again!

Great! Gilberto Vargas, a certified Arborist supervised the entire procedure. All of his staff were professional and courteous. They arrived on time and worked diligently the entire day. Gilberto came back the following day to perform all of the fertilization. They were meticulous in cleaning up and none of the plants beneath the trees were damaged. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

Excellent They were on-time and very professional. My trees are on a steep slope with fruit trees all around. They trimmed the trees per the contract without any damage. My property was cleaned beyond expectations and the 2 trees look great. They are now my go to tree service. They were also the low bid of the several companies I contacted. If you want a professional job at a reasonable price-look no further.

Excellent company! Esteban came to our house as scheduled and walked our property with us, gave us an estimate and scheduled the work to be done. Gabriel showed up on the scheduled day with their crew and trucks, walked the property with us to confirm what was listed in the estimate, directed and worked with the crew, finished on time and charged exactly what had been stated in the estimate. We didn't think they could do all the work in one day. The work they did was excellent! The clean-up was thorough. They run a good business and have very good customer service. We will definitely hire them again.

This was my second time using Vargas and the experience again was great! They left my front yard cleaner than they found it!!

Did a great job the first time. When I called for a repeat visit months later, the call was not returned for days. Then, after the appt. was scheduled, no one came at the appointed hour. I canceled and chose another service.

It went very well and they were very good. I was amazed on how they were able to manipulate what they were cutting to certain areas without disturbing anything else! They cleaned up all debris that went over to my neighbors yard. Jerry the foreman was very helpful and knowledgeable when I asked for his input on replacements. I would definitely refer them on to family and friends!

Work was completed as scheduled. Quality of work was excellent; clean up was very good.
