"Eddie and Lennon are pros. They were the first company to call back after leaving a message I need help. I hired them to check the air conditioning and discovered it had a big leak. After looking and talking, the system including the furnace needed to be replaced. I decided to change the system after negotiating a price and they started to take out the old air conditioner and heater that afternoon and come back the next morning to install the new system. I asked Eddie if he could install a Nest Learning Thermostat I had purchased and he said no problem. They did cleaned up like they were never there. The new system works perfectly and with less noise too. Champion Aire Heating and Air Conditioning was the right choice to hire. Very satisfied customer and would hire them again for maintenance when needed."

"Responded to my call expeditiously with their technician, Jayce, arriving within an hour. He troubleshot our AC and quickly identified the problem as a failed fan assemble. All the parts he required were in his van and repairs were made on site. Throughly tested our AC and verified repairs were successful. Thank you Jayce."

"Sean was great about repairing my disconnected dryer air duct having to go into the crawl space and figure out what was going on. I'm glad he was able to get it done very quickly as well. He also had a very good attitude about doing the work."

"I am so glad I did not try to install our new dishwasher myself. Joseph Rand came out from All City Plumbing. We had some difficult existing conditions and our technician finished the job fast, clean and made it look easy. When I call All City back to my home for another job I will request to have Joseph come out.."

"I recently had a great experience with So Cal Heating and Air and wanted to share my positive review. When my AC started leaking, I gave them a call, and they were able to get a technician out to my house quickly. Shout out Tech Jerry! Jerry was professional, friendly, and diagnosed the problem efficiently. He explained what was wrong in a way that was easy to understand and gave me a fair, upfront price. There was no pressure to buy anything extra or any kind of upsell, which I really appreciated. He fixed the issue quickly, and my AC is now running perfectly. I highly recommend So Cal Heating and Air for their fast service, reasonable prices, and honest approach. It's refreshing to find a company that you can truly trust."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can build a deck over your outdoor HVAC unit, but you need to leave at least 5 feet of vertical clearance above the unit. If you don’t want your deck to be that high off the ground, you could build a floating deck in another part of your yard—again, as long as you leave at least 4 feet of horizontal space between the deck and your AC unit.

While spending money once or twice a year to tuneup your AC and furnace might seem like a waste of money, think again. The cost of HVAC maintenance is far less than the cost of replacing your furnace or AC unit, regardless of the type of HVAC system you have. Paying this smaller fee now will help you avoid paying much more significant costs in the future. Not to mention, having a serviced AC and heating system will help keep your home comfortable, no matter the season.

When an evaporator coil becomes faulty, it can result in various problems within your HVAC system. These problems could include reduced cooling or heating capabilities due to ice formation and obstructed airflow, along with increased energy consumption and higher bills. Additionally, a damaged coil may lead to refrigerant leaks, which are environmentally harmful and decrease overall system efficiency.

Ultimately, if not addressed right away, a bad evaporator coil can even lead to a complete failure of your HVAC system. That’s why timely repair or replacement is crucial to maintaining your family’s comfort and your HVAC’s efficiency.

Yes, but they don’t feel the same as an AC-cooled room. You’ll feel cool, moist air, opposite from an HVAC system that dries the air as it cools. Ventless units also have less tonnage than alternatives like ductless and central air, which means they aren’t as capable of quickly cooling large spaces or circulating cold air.

Split systems are the most common type of HVAC system. Split systems have two main units: an indoor one and an outdoor one. These units work together to pull in air, heat or cool it, and distribute it throughout your home. Other popular types of HVAC systems include hybrid systems and packaged heating and air systems.
