"Air Pro did a complete installation of a new HVAC system. This company is entirely professional. The owner showed up first thing on the morning of the installation, made sure all equipment was delivered to the site, and organized the work crew. The crew was very tidy and prompt in their work. Air Pro's marketing rep did a terrific job of analyzing our existing system, taking many photos, and justifying her recommendations as to why we would benefit from a totally new system. She was able to present a proposal to us within twenty minutes of completing her assessment of our needs. We would recommend Air Pro to anyone needing a review of their HVAC system."

"We pay $14/mo. and they automatically come out twice a year.  They come in January and check your heater and July and check your A/C.  Then you get a discount on any service needed.  It's great, they always are good. I think they're kind of expensive but, well they're probably no more expensive than others.  It always cost a lot when you have to have repairs done.  They are always very responsive when we call. They're always here within the time frame that they give us.  Only one time did they call and say they would be later."

"Excellent friendly service from initial scheduling an estimate to very quick scheduling installation after I got the EV charger. Installation went very smoothly and was exactly how I wanted it placed and returned the next day to caulk to add an extra weather shield and if willing to help make certain everything works when charging my vehicle Highly recommend!!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

One of the fastest ways to unfreeze an AC unit is to turn off the unit and, if it’s warm outside, use the fan-only mode to help blow warmer air through the unit to speed up the defrosting process. While it may be tempting to use a hair dryer to defrost the air conditioner, that high heat can damage the coils.

After defrosting, if you can safely solve the issue with a fix like changing the filter, go ahead and do so. Otherwise, call in a pro before turning your AC back on.

There are several tell-tale signs that your AC coils need cleaning, including:

  • You’re getting higher electricity bills.

  • Your home doesn’t feel as cool as it usually does.

  • Your AC unit is running longer than usual to cool your home.

  • Your home is more humid than usual.

  • The coil is covered in frost while running.

If you know how to identify supply and return ducts, you’ll find that only the supply ducts will have dampers. Although your return ducts can have dampers, it’s not common. If you have one return duct that is pulling in too much air, adding a damper to it can help with overall system performance. However, dampers on return ducts are not a necessary addition for most homes.

Yes, you can potentially save $60 to $200 by handling your own air conditioner capacitor installation. However, capacitor replacement comes with the risk of electric shock. Only attempt this if you have the knowledge and protective gear to carry it out safely. Otherwise, we recommend hiring an HVAC pro with the experience to properly diagnose the issue and avoid damaging other parts of your AC unit.

Assessing location for airflow, convenience, and minimal noise impact.
