"I hired Hillcrest Landscaping owned by Saul Martinez to repair or replace our old sprinkler heads and pour some concrete to finish up a sidewalk. That was in September and I have regretted it since. Do not hire this company. He is not trustworthy. He left on a Friday, said he would be back on Monday to finish up the work. I know you don't pay until the job is done but I did it and I won't do it again. Lesson learned. He got paid to finish the job and didn't. No phone call from anyone from Hillcrest Landscaping. No one came to finish up the work he said he would finish. He has been here once since with the assurance that he would be back to finish my project and I am still waiting. No call no show, again. I now have to do it myself. Some of the work will have to be hired out. Even though I have already paid Hillcrest Landscaping for the work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! "

They’re just the right people for medium to large home projects employing one to many highly skilled workers. For this man’s expertise you’ll pay top dollar. On the other hand there are day workers you can pick up outside of Home Depot. These folks are just perfect for unskilled small home projects. They’re men who’ll work very hard, but who have limited skills and little training. Thankfully they’re inexpensive. "When looking for a custom home builder in the Redding area I came across Hughes Construction. The one thing that made me call him was other reviews on how well Shane communicates. I can say that I have had a great experience with Shane and that of all the subs that I have contacted for my custom home Shane was the best communicator of them all. It’s nice to have a contractor that wants your business enough that they keep you up to date with where they are in the bidding process. If anyone reading this is having problems staying in the loop with their contractor I suggest you call Hughes construction. You won’t be disappointed."
