"** This review is posted on behalf of my friend who recently used their service ** I can't say enough good things about Rich, Conrad, and his entire crew. First and foremost, these guys are 100% professionals. Do not overlook professionalism. I received other quotes from people who were either unwilling to do the full spectrum of work requested or not thorough in the initial review. We recently moved into a 1920s home that had old and brittle insulation laid around knob-and-tube wiring. So not only was the attic insulation ineffective, it also presented itself as a fire hazard. To make matters worse, there was a relatively inaccessible portion of the attic (i.e. access through a child-sized square cutout) they'd have to work their way into. At the very day/time of the appointment, Rich had already gotten to the house early (let in by our floor guy) and already ventured up into that tiny crawl space in the attic to assess the work. He made all of his notes and took photos before I even realized he was there. Keep in mind, insulators from other companies did not even bother to poke their heads into that space. When I mentioned what our ideal timeline was, Rich said that if they couldn't fit the work into our schedule, they would refer us to other companies they trust. Needless to say, I was impressed by his honesty. After receiving a quote via email from Conrad - who is on top of everything with phone and email communications and reminders - we decided that they were worth the three weeks wait. I signed the quote and we agreed on a start date. Conrad sent a reminder email a few days before the work was to start. The guys came on time and worked all day to remove the old crumbled insulation. By the end of the day, they were covered in black fiber/soot. They found all types of things around the attic that we weren't aware of - head boards, window screens, lumber, etc. They even removed most of the junk for us. A week later (after we brought in the electricians to update the wiring), they came back to lay the insulation batts, apply the batts to the walls where stated, air seal openings, and create a seal for the attic crawl space access cutout). They were able to complete the job over the course of a full day (9am to 7pm). They are professional, honest, thorough, responsive (emails were always returned timely and in that one week away, Rich returned my call to answer an insulation question), always on time, fairly priced (better, even), and skilled. And on top of everything else, the whole crew was fun to talk to. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend them as your #1 choice for your insulation needs."

"I had used this other company for a previous repair and then decided I would use them for a heating and air check up.  They said I needed a repair costing $400.  Just out of a hunch I called Diamond heating and air and thought I would get a second opinion.  Diamond heating and air came out and said everything was fine.  I said "are you sure" then told them about the recommendation froth the other company about replacing the defrost assembly.  The tech. person went back out just to make sure and said it was fine.  I called The owner of Diamond repair ( sad day when you have to call a company to thank them for not ripping you off).  He said most companies work on commission sales and Diamond air does not.   I highly recommend this company.

"Old shake roof was removed, new insulation added, plywood base with roof paper cover. Then tiled over raised battens. New gutters and downspouts. Dry rot repairs and painting of new surfaces.The whole process took four days. The bid and contract were presented very thoroughly, each item of work detailed and priced. Many choices. The work crews were very pleasant. The work was done in a set order and a company rep would call to inform of the next step and when it would happen. At the conclusion of each days work the property was cleaned and as tidy as possible given the nature of the project. When finished, a company rep inspected the job and checked for any needed corrections. All in all, an outstanding contractor to work with."

"Their plumber came out. He opened up the wall. He fixed the pipe and insulated the pipe. I have been with them for 15 years and they have fixed everything in my house and it never costs me more than $125.00. They don't try to dodge their responsibility. We added insulation to our attic to reduce our heating and cooling for the house and replaced 2 old windows . All the guys were great from Idan who evaluated our home, office staff and installers. "An unanticipated extra expense, but they removed all attic insulation and pumped in new insulation with 3X the protection. Closed up all possible entrances into house; made three trips. So far, no signs of these pests, but they say call anytime if I see signs. I'm moving and I can't -- with good conscience -- sell this house to others knowing it had rodents, although it didn't seem to bother the people I bought the house from."

"They came on one day and tore out the old dirty system and installed the new system...they replaced my original metal ducting pipes with a mylar, insulated soft piping.  I thought they would perhaps "upgrade" the disposition of the system and perhaps solve the problem that the downstairs was always cold,  but they just replaced the conduits that were already there...except for one which they said was "inaccessible."  At the end of the day, I noticed that there was no "return" for the air system and mentioned that.  That's when I realized that they weren't really interested in providing a thoroughly "new" system, but just replacing what was there, whether or not it had been adequate.  I was told that I would have to pay for the additional time to open up a return (apparently there was an old one, but it had been boarded over.)  I agreed to do that and paid two hundred and forty dollars separately.  I had wanted them to line the return, since it was just a wooden "trough," but they wouldn't do that.

In any case, the system works and is much cleaner than what I had.  I am not pleased that the exhaust for the propane has its vent under part of the deck and so the fumes go into the downstairs bedroom. 

There was an issue with getting the final inspection and when the county called me about it, I called the company and they agreed to pay the penalty fee that had been incurred.  The inspector passed the system, but said there should have been insulation on the piping near where the propane gets ignited.  Also, there was an issue with the draining situation at the side of the tankless water heater . 

It is now a few years since the work was done and I notice that the big soft tubing that goes from the main heater occasionally falls off and I tuck it back. I'm not sure how well the soft piping will hold up.

They were extremely courteous to me at the start of the job, but did not have patience for my complaints as the job progressed. But I am thrilled that they accomplished getting the system changed!
